For those of you who have brush guards or bull guards can i see pictures. I'm considering getting one. just on the way to work this morning there were 3 dead dear and id like to protect the truck best i can. Looking to see how the truck looks with them on and reviews of how you think the fitment is.

Brush guards and bull bars usually do more damage to the truck than the deer alone.

Yea if you hit something at high speed it's not gona save you unless it hits low it might but if you see something and get slowed down to 30-40 it could be the difference between destroying the grill, condenser, radiator, headlights, etc and just some minor bent sheet metal.
Alot of it depends on how it mounts, some have very weak upper supports and will fold in on the slightest impact.

Where I'm at probably half the full-size trucks and around 20% of SUVs have grill guards or full replacement bumpers with grill guards because alot of people drive on rural roads and it's usually just a matter of time before you meet a deer.

Ranch Hand and Frontier seem to be the most popular ones around here, Steelcraft is probably a distant 3rd.

Do note if you have a 3rd gen with TSS you will need to find one that has a cutout for the front radar or you will have to disable it, ran into this on the 23 4Runner my dad just bought. Only one I could find that worked with it was Steelcraft.

Well there is actual front-end armor and then there is front-end armor that just looks like front-end armor! And I don't care what you have up front if you hit a deer at full highway speed, there will be lots of blood (and truck damage)!

^^^^This. Coming from a 30 veteran of the collision repair industry. Even at lower speeds, they dont do much but, bend and hit other body parts of the vehicle. Shops HATE those things, with a passion. Ski
