What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Ran over a road hazard and gashed my tire a little. Hard to tell how deep it goes but it looks like it’s right on the thicker tread block.

Would any of you be looking to replace it if it was yours?

I would not replace. And I wouldn't give it a second thought.

What size are those wheels? Look like 9"?

 

Today was nothing to crazy.
85k miles Oil change
Tire rotation and washed the inside of the rims. Grabbed some pretty good seat covers from @jmferg thanks I needed them your right they don't fit great but they work.
Next Friday is my road trip to Chico ca from San Diego and Yosemite and some old gold mining towns on the way back home.

Iphone lens was doing something funky, they’re 17’s

 

If you’re really worried about it, could always shoot some soapy water on it to see if it’s leaking at all. If not you could then try open it up gently and see if any plies are compromised. Like others have said you’re probably ok but hard to tell from pictures.

 

Check tire pressure over the next few days. If it leaks a bit I would plug and patch.

 

Changed out the factory tail lights for TRD Pros and added the vtails. I think it looks so much better, especially on a black truck

 

One of the best mods I’ve done. You have great factory quality tails with LED internals. Amber turn signals are much more safe as well.

Wheels and tires, loving the matte titanium on the lunar rock. Raceline Rogue on Wildpeak 275’s. Zero offset 17x8.5.

 

Spray a mix of dishsoap and water on it, if it doesn't bubble, you're good to go...no further worries.

I did quite a bit of research looking at tons of pics, Wanted a clean look, no fake beadlock, slight poke, and the methods are so played out imo. Almost went that route but saw these and went for it. I’d honestly have preferred a gunmetal but the lighter ti really works with the lunar rock…..better than bronze imo. Moved away from dx4 terrains with a -6 offset. Amazing how much more room I get up front with a 0 offset. Could have probably fit a 285 but compromised with a 275….love the look and less weighty tire. Super stoked on how it turned out
