60+ year old thread.

Yeah, suppressing your metabolic rate reduces blood loss and oxygen consumption. My Dad was an anesthesiologist and he said old farts are the hardest because we’re already halfway there and pushing us down can be tricky to reverse. I was younger then.

 

One of the things I like to do is find places in old photos and try to find them.

Last day in New Orleans. Flight lifts off at 5 today home around 11. Wife and I are off to breakfast, son is sleeping in.

Went to a dive last night and heard some great music at The Spottet Cat Music Club the dive was Snake and Jake's Christmas Club.

 

First time off the property yesterday. Feel even better today. Progress!

My dad was a WWII US army veteran who spent several years island hopping in the South Pacific. When I was a kid and the school year ended at the end of May - we would travel to Indianapolis every year for "Decoration Day". This meant numerous visits to relatives, cemeteries, and a drive around the "Soldiers and Sailors" monument down town. Usually would end up sitting in some relative's back yard listening to the 500 mile race on the radio before returning to southern Missouri the next day. It seems so distant today............

That is a big attraction for me to go to Baja... besides the beaches and off roading; to see history before it is paved over by modern replacements.
