1" lift in rear without using a block

Has anyone figured out a way to get an inch of lift without using lift blocks on the 3rd gens?

I thought about getting a progressive add a leaf pack and removing the small or middle leaf from the pack. I was worried it wouldn't get the results I was after or effect the spring rate to much doing that. With the over loads having to be removed I didn't want the spring rate to be so low I couldn't carry much load. I know deaver makes the J66 pack but from my experience with that pack and others I have seen online it struggles to even support a stock double cab.

The truck is a daily driver, used to haul stuff and pull a trailer occasionally. It used to be offroad a lot but I got my K10 together enough and it's the trail rig now. The tacoma will still see some offroading just not as much. I'm doing the 6112/5160 combo and need to figure out the rear.

 

1” block and Firestone Airbags for when you haul stuff.

 

I don't really need the airbags but it's looking like the block might be my only answer. I didn't want to add more axle wrap with a block but hopefully it wont be any worse with only 1"

 

1” won’t make a difference at all.

 

You get an AAL and keep weight in the box when you aren't hauling/towing. Will make it ride better as a bonus.

 

That thought crossed my mind but I didnt want to keep 100+lbs in the bed all the time lol. This truck isnt my "work" truck so it has minimal tools. I do have a hard fold up tonneau cover and bed mat but I doubt that causes any squat.
