There are very different people in Madison.

    Not that I’m judging…

Um, as a non mechanic, what type of alignment do I need? I was offered thrust or 4 wheel? And the person on the phone didn't know the difference. I will not be calling them back once I know this answer.

That's probably the best she can do.

If they don't know the difference call someone else.

But then again wait till Tuesday when that person is back in school.

Got some tools for my next truck project: the blue thing is the rear axle bearing puller. The other is for pressing the new axle seals in. Seems somebody said it wasn’t a big job but I am guessing most of a day to make this happen. Might not have time until after my Montana trip

I was inspired from yesterday and came up with a simple but cool mod.

Since I'm not using the rear seats of the cruiser, I wanted to take advantage of the 14mm seatbelt bolt in the C pillar. I had leftover quick release brackets from my H3R fire extinguisher, and it's just the ticket. Fast to get to and tucked away.

Dan gave me a quick runover of what to do.
I need to get it done while it's still fresh in my noggin'.

Try & find one that will work with you,
you want to have them get the caster as hi as they can while keeping the camber at 0* along with the toe 0*.

    Toyota specs caster very low.

realistically try & get caster above 2* positive.

Last week I got into my truck in a parking structure and looked up and saw this. WTF is going on? Is this some trending thing or just coincidence

Is there anything besides bending for clearance of the bolt?

Besides bending the inner fender a little, there's wire clusters on both sides that are in the way.
Took a little finangling with the bolt and wiggling the UCA around, to get it out past the wires.
Other than that it wasn't bad.

I didn't need to bend or cut any bolts.

Edit: I left the tires on. Loosened all the bolts then sprayed the uca bolt with weiner schleider.
Lifted the truck at frame enough to tap the ball joint loose then worked on getting the uca bolt out.

*back to working by ourselves. lol
I felt I had good control of getting the new ball joint positioned, on the spindle, with the tires lightly touching the ground.
