Closing labs he didn’t want to go one lap down so he’s blocking William Byron from staying ahead of Chastain

A few additions to make me feel cool.
And Chase proves once again he does not have the balls to drive this car. Everyone else leaning on each other. Chase out their two feet from someone's door in the corner. Losing 4-8 spots on every restart. Dude drove the hell out of the old car but just cannot wrap his head around this one. I think he has always been one to take care of equipment and you just have to drive this turd like you hate it and want to wad it up.

I think a lot of the "older" drivers struggle with the new car and how much you have to take advantage of your momentum and drive aggressively. I can't tell you how many times I see guys like Elliott or Busch have a big run but back off the gas and don't take advantage which ruins their momentum for a good lap or more. It was meant to level the playing field but we're already back to the big 3 teams dominating again.

I don't disagree with you, but let's look at his stats for perspective. He's 4th in points right now. Like his dad, he's backed off a bit after proving himself by winning the championship. Now, driving a race car is simply a job that supports his hobbies, including golf, skiing, and flying, just like his dad. He had the best average finish of all drivers last season. He finished 7th in points. Here are his points finishes for each full-time cup year:

    2016- 10
    2017- 5
    2018- 6
    2019- 10
    2020- 1
    2021- 4
    2022- 4
    2023- 17* (injury & suspension totaling 7 races)
    2024- 7
    2025- Currently 4th

It took him three full-time seasons to find his first victory. Since then, here are his annual win totals. Of his 9 full-time seasons, 1/3 of them were winless years.

    2018- 3
    2019- 3
    2020- 5
    2021- 2
    2022- 5
    2023- 0* (injury & suspension totaling 7 races)
    2024- 1
    2025- /

    2025 stats thus far:
    Total points races: 13

    Top 5- 3
    Top 10- 7
    Top 15- 10
    Top 20- 13

All he needs is the momentum of a win, which is tough racing against teammates Byron & Larson, then JGR's Hamlin and Bell.
