Neighbor has a 750 and even though it’s not as aggressive as 600 for seating it still doesn’t look that comfortable. I’d rather be on my dual sport sitting up right as well.

If you really like ‘em… fold over an inch or more and re sew the fold over. Or cut out a section in the middle and sew in new elastic for the cheap fix.

^ this. Buy elastic at hobby lobby or Walmart, sew on some Velcro, there you go.

Couple days ago I picked up 7 bottles of ride-on tire balancer and sealant off CL. They are $21 a bottle on Amazon but so got 7 for $40. I like to use it instead of ugly wheel weights to balance. IMO it works great and I have been using it for 15+ years.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
I swore I'd always have a sportbike. My knees would really object to 300 mile days, though. Then, 8 years ago, I sat on an MT-09. The rest is history. Almost as fast as a sportbike, yet way more comfortable...and I can put hard bags on it.

Street noob question. Need the opinion of the group here. My bike came with Shinko 804/805 setup. The front has what I believe to be odd wear. See pic and look at the two side by side center knobs. They seem to have more wear on the inside of those knobs towards the back of the bike. Is that normal?PXL_20250526_171450413.jpg

Maybe you can see the high spot better on this profile view. I have a thing with tires, from being a former mechanic, and am always checking tires for uneven wear. This mainly shows up due to inconsistent dirt patches. PXL_20250526_220424143~2.jpg

It's hard to tell from the pic, but I'll take a wild guess and say it's from the use of the front brake.

Typically referred to as cupping, and yeah, it's normal. Soft tire, heavy bike, front brake use, knobs deform a bit and wear down faster when you're braking on it putting weight and pressure on the front tire. I think technically it's a directional tire on the front, but have heard lots of folks flipping it halfway through its life for more even wear.

@uurx was right, the CRF80 fits me a lot better than the klx110! First impressions with the KLX is it’s small! I am glad it has the bar risers already, but I need to order a longer shifter and brake pedal. Its hard to ride wearing dirtbike boots. Fun little bike though! Noticed the oil site glass was showing the oil was over filled. Drained the oil and the previous owner had 1.7L of oil in it when the manual calls for 1.1L :annoyed: seems to run fine though.
