I understand it's memorial day. But does anyone else have that one neighbor that has to play music as loud as possible on any given day. Like i want to sit on my porch and listen to Beyonce all day long. That shit gets annoying after awhile

    OMG!

    Matt @Tatts521

I did crap like that in my dorm room at my first USAF duty assignment. (Circa 1986)

CD players had just become a thing...and I bought a pair of Cerwin Vega speakers!

Nowadays, I use lower volume with mediocre speakers or put my ear buds on.

I've gotten past all that...but, every one in a blue moon, I'll put the Bose soundbar under the tele on, while watching YT video songs. lol

    But not today.

I hear you Matt and I hear the assholes two houses away Thump thump thump. Plus all the future deaf people driving down the street blasting their music so loud the whole neighborhood hears it.

This lady she's probably in her 50s everyday rain Or shine blasting music. But she's the first to complain to the police if someone speeds down the street.

I'm all for listening to music. But I know my neighbors may not like to listen to what I listen to. So i play my music at a low volume.

Beyonce gets annoying pretty quick..like about 3.4 seconds.

Cerwins are some good stuff, what size?

I'll admit to the loud truck stereo here..

    OK now I'm curious, spill

Completely agree with you. Terrible, disrespectful, I even had a talk with my one neighbor. No 2 neighbors. Guess I'm the cranky old man on the street . I don't care , turn it down, have some respect.

That's why you need to buy my house so you won't have any close neighbors.

That's a dream to have no neighbors. Be able to relax on my porch with both pups laying on either side of me. Pretty much what they are doing right now.

    @ABA180

I can’t remember what size Cerwin Vega speakers I had back in the day.

It was about 3 years ago I had to put a sledge hammer to them since they were wore out. lol

Solid press wood to keep that sound vibration!

I still have the Kenwood CD player but the Kenwood Receiver has seen better days.

There is lots in my attic to go through and figure out what to keep, donate or trash.

Yeah, I made a decision and space requirements vs me using them again vs time to get them repaired was weighed...

It was just easy for me to say goodbye to my early dingleberry years! lol

Nowadays, you get the same sound from much smaller speakers.

IF...and that's a Big "IF" I were to ever set up my own dedicated room, I'd probably be searching for an old set up to include:

    Receiver
    Phonograph
    CD Player
    Tape Deck

But, it's ONLY just a thought at this point.

My receiver is about 30 yrs old..doesn't even have Dolby Pro Logic, 100x2 or 50x4. Plenty enough for the small living room I have.

Pioneer receiver and 101 CD player, Teac dual deck, and the 3 way Technics.

Wouldn't mind a turntable for my wife's old records perhaps though..
