The way this not Monday is starting, I think I'd rather take on a volcano. :goingcrazy:

Set up my boss' boss on a temp laptop so his can get reimaged to get rid of some update issues. Had a few issues getting him up and running just enough to keep working.

By the time I was back at my desk, I had a voicemail that someone else's computer "is not working" with no other info. Walked over to their office. They weren't in. Went in anyway (having keys is beneficial!) and the computer wasn't on... Turned it on and checked for updates.

    Thirty. Nine.

Bring on that volcano. I got this. :bananadead:

At the old job we used "update" and "crash" together often.

"They updated the server on Friday and it crashed this (Monday) morning."

    :smash::smash::smash:

The problem was we (the floor) started at 5am The Office and the man bun IT guy started at 8am.

    :annoyed:

Well fellers, it was a day. :bananadead:

3 hours at a downtown property, mowed, cut brush, actually cut a tree down too.
It was higher than the gutters on a 2 story house.

The lawns (3 here) were long enough some parts needed double cutting.

The little ZT is like a Swiss Army knife sometimes.

I did darn near everything at work -- except I didn't do any production jobs (no way was I getting sucked into that) and I didn’t manage any of the production people except during things like fire drills, etc.

I think the biggest thing I deal with is "taking" boxes off overloaded belts since we're the only ones allowed to lock out belts and get up on them. I try my darnest to handle everyones package gently, but they force my hand sometimes. If you ever get a messed up box, my bad...

So I was mowin' along, singin' a song (Midland) and suddenly...

The mower went from full forward to full stop with a crash and the deck started to hammer. :censored:

Seems I hit the stump of a 2" pipe laundry pole from decades ago, I have mowed over this spot 100s of times without issues.

    20250527_151151.jpg

I managed to pull it out of the ground, about 24" long, maybe all the rain raised it up a bit.
    :notsure:

    Now the deck...
It was jacked pretty good, again.

    20250527_140123.jpg

However, it ain't my first go 'round neither.

Found a hefty "C" clamp and used it along with the tow strap ($9.99 @ Ollies) hooked to the trailer and a couple of good bangs in reverse.

    20250527_135926.jpg

I caught a rock later and had to do it again but everything is done so life is good.

I crossed paths with one of our trades guys this afternoon walking opposite directions. He said "you might as well turn around. It's all hands on deck". I asked why, he said there's a bird in one of the buildings.

Gotta remember to update my resume.
