See for things people should raise a hairy eyeball about other than being drawn to electronics.

    LOL!!!

    IMO.
The 4th gen is rather Shoddy for incredible profit margin...

And despite that you signed on the line. I see why you want that kick.

You have info regarding toyota's margin on the 4th gen as compared to other makers and vehicles?

    Lol!!!
Reading comprehension gentlemen is needed it seems per some of the replies.

Laid out the reasons for the 2025 pretty clearly.

    Now...
    Let's talk Shoddy and profit
And of course I don't have historical "data" of profit per any manufacturer.
    Who would???
Kinda think that info is corporate type of stuff they would not like John Q public knowing....
Putting out less costly products for higher profit margins

Of course all manufacturers of everything on this rock do that.
Letting the litter of mutant kittens out to the public on the Shoddy goods and less expensive materials and manufacturing techniques they can come up with.

    Hahahaha!!!!

Geuss some on here have been sleeping under a rock since 2020 and what has transpired in the current age of Shoddy ever since....
Some of you need to take them rose colored glasses off and smell the coffee it seems.

Couple small examples of Shoddy and profit that should be painfully obvious even to the most aloof buyer outside of their attraction to the infotainment system.

Mini spare versus full size spare.
" I'm sure they didn't make any extra Benjamin's 86ing the full size"
    Uh huh....

Felt composite front wheel liners versus old school plastic
Yep they spend more on those felt ones for sure....
    Uh huh...

American version OEM mudflaps versus the Canadian version OEM flaps.
The American ones suck azz from everything I have read.

The rubber rear brake line fiasco across a huge spectrum of models.
    LOL!!!!

I'm pretty much geussing alot of people in Corparate Toyota proudly display their Lean Sigma Six Black belt certificates on their walls.
Bet the mo mo good idea fairy who drove the pony behind the scenes with the rubber brake line has his certificate.
He was probably high 5,ing with the guy who had the brilliant idea for the mini spare...
Brake line dude probably ain't got a job anymore but I bet alot of heads were bobbing up and down when he presented it at some design meeting.

    LOL!!!

    That's just a few examples.

Drumroll please for the last one....

The cost in US dollars American model versus same Canadian model.
Oh let's blame the EPA on that one will be the standard reply I'm sure.

For those it applies too as your primary reason thinking the 4th gen is da bomb, please enjoy your infotainment system whizz bang electronics gentlemen.

    Have a nice day...

My sr5 has a full size spare. The felt wheel wells have held up to pressure washing mud off them many times. I don’t know what to tell you other than sell it and buy something else, but after shopping around, the Tacoma wasn’t any worse than their competitors.

Buying the rock-bottom price leader SR and complaining about cost cutting is a little like asking to speak with the chef about the quality of your quarter pounder. Sure it’s entertaining, but just punt the ball…

And yet, 35 years from now when some random owner is crying here about the grain quality of the dash plastic on his Gen8, that little ‘25 SR with its electric fan & small spare tire will be quietly delivering sod to a worksite.

Thanks for the reminder about the goat fugg electric fan only.
I wouldn't call that a small shoddy issue either.
    Kinda a big Shoddy IMO...
Geuss a regular belt driven fan off the water pump with a electric solenoid back up was another design oversite and not a cost saving thing.

    Hmmmmm...

    Lease.. 36 months

A means to a end as stated.

    3yr 36k warranty.

Buy something baller wise at turn in.

    It's all good.
Gonna go look at tires to replace these Shoddy pizza cutter tires.

Gotta get from point A to B out hunting and get to point C to load up something dead into the bed.

    Bout it......

Thank you for your innuendo critique of my writing skills.
I have found on other sites when people go "grammar nazi".
They are pretty much reaching deep down in the bag for some sort of " gotcha" in their noggin as some sort of ultimate response when they ain't got nothing else.

Dude. Way to play the nazi card. Normally I would dismiss you as a troll. But, you are simply just a mess.

It's not so much grammar, but more along the lines of trying to decipher somewhat incoherent rambling between the "lol"s and the "hahahaha"s. It's very difficult to understand what point you're trying to make. It sounds like you don't like the material the splashguards are made out of and the mud flap design? I don't want to speak for everyone, but I'm guessing most people around here don't really care about those things. I hope you enjoy your new truck!! It's definitely a step up over the last one you owned:)

I feel you about the tries. I have the crappy highway Firestones that might as well as come off of a Camry. But I also almost never take it off road other than a dirt road here in NH, so I wasn't planning on changing them until they wear out. Then go with something more aggressive.
