I wore earplugs as a teen when riding my very loud atvs, but when I started riding the motocross track I stopped as I couldn't hear the other traffic coming around and such. Stopped wearing them and my ears have paid the price. Between that and a bicycle tire exploding in my face, my right ear is pretty bad. Current employer's nurse assumed I had been in the military since my right ear was so bad. Said it was common for folks that shoot a lot. Nope... just stupid loud exhausts.

How does it run on the switch? I have it on my Xbox but I think it could be a great handheld game.

Just got home from 110mile ride on the Harley. Couple pics from the ride. Another beautiful day in the NW for riding.

I think it runs great, but I haven't played it on anything else, so not sure what might be lost in comparison.

I played MudRunner on PC, and I recall the winch system being less annoying. Having to cycle through a bzillion possible winch locations can be annoying, but you get used to it fast enough. Besides that... yeah, i've loved it.

Took a nice 400 mile solo ride Saturday and a good 275 mile ride Sunday with a group of friends. Good weekend overall.

Thanks!! It's a 2008. The filter I used kind of makes it looks a little bluish, I suppose. It's actually black.

I have four days left to finish my masters degree, started my final project in earnest on Sunday after some family time on Saturday, and took this week off work to hammer it out. It's absofuckinglutely beautiful weather here and I'm stuck typing a paper and trying not to stare out the window.

More of the story: jealous of y'all out riding.

If it makes you feel better, NW Va has been chilly and rainy for much of the last week or so with more of the same through this week! I went for a ride yesterday morning and was too cold to really enjoy it. Crazy to be saying that in the last days of May...

Also, congrats on the degree! What is it in?

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
I always wear earplugs. I had some custom molded several years ago at the International Motorcycle Shows. I have Tinnitus, and without plugs, my ears ring so bad I can't hardly hear.

I'm really hoping I can finish the paper today, do the powerpoint and record my presentation tomorrow, and then have Thursday and Friday to go ride! At least that's my plan.. we'll see how much I get distracted the rest of today and tomorrow.. I'm on page 19, and I anticipate I have a few more to go. Honestly not bad for a master's capstone. Yay online degrees...

I'll actually probably be using ChatGPT a little bit tomorrow.. basically plug my paper into it and ask it to create me a powerpoint outline from it. Should save me a couple hours and still be my own work and words, just let it do the separating out and formatting, then go in and edit the content and add in the presentation notes. I then have to record myself giving the presentation, which will be about 20 minutes long. Not terrible.

Masters of Science in Management and Leadership. Basically an MBA with less math. My bachelors degree is business administration so I went a slightly different route for my masters. My boss's boss basically told me a couple years ago if I ever want another promotion I need a masters. Yay higher education and the paper ceilings/elitism it has..

Never hurts to diversify! And if your program was like mine, you had mmmmmaybe one or two classes that were actually worth a damn. But still, CONGRATS because that's a lot of time and money!

True that! A middle school education from the 1930's was likely more rigorous than anything outside the hard sciences these days, but that's a rant for another day!

Will likely head a few hours south next week to scope this prospect - https://blacksburg.craigslist.org/mcy/d/indian-valley-2021-triumph-street-triple/7850721836.html
Owner said he'd be willing to negotiate the price (!) as it needs new tires and has the wrench lit up on the dash. I did find out that clearing that is a bit of a PITA but some cheap software and I can do it myself!

Damn you!!! Now I have been down the crf450rl supermoto rabbit hole. The one big problem is the price of the bike plus the cost of the conversion. There is a 2022 forsale on cl for $8300. Could get it for a couple hundred less. Then the wheel set is another $1800 ish, then pipe and ecu flash and all the other crap I would have to get. I am way over 10k for a supermoto. They do make good HP flashed and piped. Probably over 20hp more than the klx300.
I don’t think that’s in the cards right now. Just going to stick to the plan of sm swap the Klx and rip that for a while. If for some reason I’m the future I want more than it’s an option.
Going to keep watching vids though. Lol
