Its more of a gonzo style, stream of consciousness, manic rambling. Just read it in the Hunter S Thompson voice and it will make sense. Well, as much sense as it possibly can.

    57 miles.
    Scoped out the destination At3,.s.
Firestone sale coming up next week.
Look at some Cooper AT tires over at discount tire tommorow.
Too much traffic around Viva Clarksvegas this time of day till around 6 630...
    Fugg driving around in that...
    Military town...
Sooo we got the overflowing cornucopia of all schit bird driving habits nation wide concentrated here.
From Magoo beetus wearing glasses types.
Too wanna be Vin Diesel wind scoop 2 stroke engine sounding fuggs zipping in and out of lanes.
Throw in all the dumbfugg motorcyclist doing the up the lane zipping at stop lights.
Gawd I just wanna open the door on them sometimes. LOL!!!!

Not a good time of day to be on the road around here basically.

I will admit the gen 4 does have a better ride than the 2021 Gen 3 I had.
Steering wheel adjustment is rather limited.
    Played with that some today.
Just a half inch to inch higher would be nice.

    Hoooooooowever.....

Interesting observation driving today, didn't really notice it yesterday coming home from Hopkinsville.

    Hood bounce / flex/ vibration
    WTF???
Thought my eyes were like having some issue or some schit.
Like mini strobing like effect picking up movement.
    Like glimmering water like effect.
Then realized it was the hood...
    SMH...

Geuss Toyota designed this one in the middle all flat with sides higher than the middle for some reason.
Maybe the open air box intake that leads into the actual air box that is sealed per the underside of the hood.

It's probably cause nancy,s moaned about not seeing enough over the hood.

Short people got a reason to live now Randy Newman.
They can see over the hood of a Tacoma now..

Huh..... maybe if they made the hood higher in the center they could design a 1 to 1.5 # elevated on post engine cover????

1st time I ever have seen any vehicle hood vibrate like this...
    Pretty pronounced.
Wonder what the glitter effect from it will be on a bright sunny day.
    Overcast today here.

Maybe they will redesign the hood with a high center Rib and taper off to the sides again.

I know them head rest on the back seats are coming out.
Pretty narrow look in the rear veiw.
Front head rest are getting flip flopped so they face backwards.
Seats are actually more comfortable than the 2021.
Not so low in the angle per glutius maximus as Gen 3.
Knees are alot more in plane with top of thigh and not elevated like Gen 3 due to low azz place in Gen 3 seats.

So their is a couple of more positive thing per ride and driving comfort.

This lane keeper slight counter steering thing is kinda annoying at times.
    Nothing major really

Did get the boost into 2nd bar and about 3 k rpm.
Still keep it below the 4 k rpm thing during the " break in" mileage Toyota recommends.

It does have good power and ain't hunting for gears like the 2.7 6spd auto.
And not even hitting boost it has good power managing the throttle for acceleration.
    Shifts good IMO.

Need some weather tech mudflaps also.
Got a set of Gen 3 non flare ones now doing nothing.
They cleaned up really good actually.
I would say 90% condition with the 10% being some gravel marks on the inner well side of them

Threw em in the back seat with all the original boxes, packaging, papers, and hardware.
Might run into some cat with a Gen 3 non fender flare at some parking lot somewhere.
    50 dolla man.
170 bucks new for a front and rear set
Check em for fit right now man.
    Pass on em.
    Always someone else.
#,s timing and opportunity is all that is.
Go buy some M855 at midsouth with it whenever it happens.

    Oh....
The factory radio sound is better than the Gen 3 also IMO.

    Toodles.....

What's wrong with a horizontal screw on oil filter? My 2000 jeep with 4.0 inline 6 had that same design and those are known to be extremely durable engines.

Nice! So are you rock crawling in your 4gen? I love my 2nd Gen but only cause I spent so much time and money on mods. No hate for the 4g they cool. I was hoping that Toyota was going to make the 4gen more rock crawler than overlander. Front locker would have been cool but even more than that would have been designing the frame and undercarriage to just have more ground clearance.

    Oh ...
    And this 4T package..
    Researched that earlier.
I got the little glowing Taco emblem thing on the grill.
Sunsabytches down in mexico I geuss didn't put the black Tacoma badge on the driver door.
    Call up Toyota about that.
Think I'm gonna pick techs brains tommorow about this horizontal oil filter
Ask em do you prime the filter almost full and try to do some cat-like screw on move and hope you don't spill too much
Or do a media soak only for it with very little left over
Or do you dry install them?

Homie always prime a verticle screw on filter

    Horizontal filter...
    SMH...

    Watch out man .
Your borderline on political with that.
    Get yourself a 30 timeout.

    BTDT already on here.
Even though I didn't make the list for any cred.

Came back on after my timeout and had 2 mods on that mod contact thread I got in contact with that couldn't explain it.

I dug thru all my post at that time.
Thought I might have said :
"Honk for Joey" in mockery of his 2020 national TV parking lot election rallies with a dozen cars present...
Honk and flash your lights in the 99% empty high school parking lot for Joey..

    On national TV....

    JFC......

Nope I didn't post that back then before the "obey your sensi" 30 day time out.
( But I just did now)

Posting em on that thread for those 2 mods to see.
I had like 4 " questionable " ones I asked them specifically about.
    Asking them both
    This one ?
    This one ?
    Ect ect ect ...

They both went cricket mode on me.

    LOL!!!

    Huh...
    I was born in Peterborough.
Raised up in Old Town and Milford Maine.

    Left in 83 at 19.

Drove up to Maine last summer for 1st time in 23 years

Forgot all about the night time road construction and all the tolls up their.
Only thing I accomplished was a personal record of 1450 miles in 27 hours straight.
It would have been at least 2 or 3 hours less.
But that parkway across Connecticut was a goat fugg of evening and early night time road construct
    PITA....

I was taught to prime a filter.
To get oil into the system in a more expeditious manner per intial start up after a oil change.
Just strikes me as odd to have a horizontal filter on a turbo engine system versus a naturally aspriated engine with one like you state.
I have never had a vehicle with a horizontal filter set up honestly.

    YMMV..

( warning it's not chutes and ladders land like here)
They will hurt your feelers if you give them the least sign of weakness and it is a 1st amendment free fire zone.

Make a thread on the Gen forum and ask about me.
You will get a good laugh.

Time will tell if the horizontal filter is a problem. I noticed it last week and was wondering why it's mounted the way it is.

    Lol!!!
Last time I did schrooms was early summer 83 .
Probably about a month or 2 before I went to Benning and got my head shaved.
Ate 3 grams of those mofo,s in a Macdonalds cheese burger.

Talk about a Pablo Picasso world about 45 60 mins later.
Glad I didn't have nothing to do for the next 5 to 7hrs that day.

    Hahahaa!!!

Does self admission of prior drug use over 4 decades ago get ya a 30 timeout on here??

I bet a bunch on here supported I never inhaled Blue skirt Willy too.

    Dunno man.
Their is plenty of room for it to have been horizontal in its current location.
    A simple design....

That won't, but any reference to the executive branch definitely will.

You might want to edit some things if you want the fun and games to continue.
