    My 'monday' went similarly. Normally, I punch in for my hourly, and also punch in on a specific job. But not today. Just punched in for the day and then ran around chasing various fires.

    I worked for UPS in So.Cal.while in college the first time. They didn’t have those safety restrictions in place when I was there. Walked a lot of belt clearing jams. While on the sort line the boxes going into the bottom bins always got my “boot print” of approval. If your package was broken..then apparently you didn’t pack it correctly!!!

    Pulled the VW in the shop when I got home and took a 4mm allen wrench and moved the sunroof back so I could open the top and clean the drains. Hopefully it helped, will find out tomorrow.

    A hardtop convertible, what a novel idea. :thumbsup:

    1959 Ford

    19721992-1959-ford-galaxie-skyliner-std.jpg

    "While a retractable-hardtop convertible might seem old hat these days, it was quite remarkable in 1957, when Ford introduced a full-size car with a steel roof that folded dramatically into the trunk and disappeared.

    If you’ve never seen and heard one of these in action, it is quite marvelous. Operated by a complex system of reversible servo motors controlled by a lineup of 10 electric solenoids plus relays, switches, locking mechanisms, cables and about 600 feet of wire, the Skyliner presents nothing less than a mechanical ballet danced to the accompaniment of various clicks and whirrs.

    The dance includes the top lifting, its front lip folding under, the trunk lid opening from the front, the whole shebang gliding into the trunk and the lid closing, all done automatically and long before electronic gizmos made it seem easy."

    That amazes me :rolleyes::eek:

    The VW uses an electric over hydraulic pump with lines running everywhere, I wouldn't have wanted to be the first person to push the button when it was all put together :D

    It is better to have one if you need it rather than need one when you need it. :evil:
