    In all seriousness
    > Anyone ever found a way to come out stronger than 41 Hz cabin gain after full deadening, foam coupling, and damping?
I've got everything sealed tight—sub phase aligned, RT midbass dialed, tuning confirmed with a spectrogram streak at 43 Hz—but I'm wondering if there's a trick left in the bag.
Is there any way to push more pressure at tuning without wrecking balance? Or am I at the mercy of the cabin curve?

So you're telling us your Del Sol is NOT tuned? Why should we be asking you for audio advice? :smack:

“I’m not knocking stripper poles — I’ve seen what they can do.
But I’m working with full foam coupling, sealed doors, RT sub layered 70–100 Hz, CompQ pulling low at 0°, ports tuned to 33 Hz with 3× 3” flares…
and I’m still coming in at –12 dB with the door cracked.
I’m just wondering if anyone has cracked the code for layering above the cabin gain without sacrificing tightness.
Not chasing chaos — chasing control.”

I don't know why I need four speakers in my truck, I only have two ears, and one of them doesn't work all that well.

What are you trying to do with 41hz? Thats a fairly long wave form that passes through objects.
most likely you feel it before you heard it.

to be honest, i have absolutely no clue about what gear you're running, or where any of your settings are.

you've never elaborated beyond some conceptual ramblings about which speakers are 'better' (always personal preference), and having another guy custom-build you some passive crossovers.

which makes your question nearly impossible to even start to answer without further details.

the longer i live, the more i learn that anyone, anywhere, that confidently claims to have all the answers, usually has far fewer answers than the people surrounding them.

always look for the smiling clueless people. they know they don't have the right answers, but always seek to find the most entertaining ways to getting them.

Hey man — no hate at all, but if you’re not sure what your current settings are, that’s the first wall you’re hitting.
At this point, any further setting changes aren’t gonna help — not until you know exactly what’s dialed in now.
DSPs, EQs, gains… they don’t fix confusion. They magnify it.
Best advice I can give? Pause the tweaking. Step back. Map it out — write it down. Know your crossover points, phase settings, gains, delays. Once you’re clear on what’s in place, then you can make meaningful changes.
Otherwise it’s like tuning a piano blindfolded in a thunderstorm.
Trust me — I’ve been there. And I’ve also been on the other side of it when everything locks into place and the truck breathes different.
You’ll get there. Just slow it down and get familiar first.
