I got my truck from a small dealer in Western Arkansas. They had maybe 25 vehicles on the lot. He said they had allocations for 2 for the year. I imagine normal dealers could definitely snag 4-6 for sure.
Interesting enough Carvana still wants to overpay for me truck but I am not selling, just maintaining an idea of its value.

10 out of 10 Ranger/F-150 Raptor/TRD Pro buyers live no where near a desert. :notsure:

Does anyone buy the RAM RHO? I liked the TRX, and even with the V8 I'd have no interest in one today. I wouldn't be buying something like that any way. I think the halo appeal wares off pretty quick unless you are really into a certain truck.

Ranger Raptor compared to a similarly priced TRD OR if there is such a thing, the Raptor might win out if pricing is similar.

The Ranger Raptor should be compared to the Pro/TH not a TRD OR since it has more options/STUFF than they do. The price of a TRDORP Hybrid is about the same as a Ranger Raptor, I looked at the Ranger in depth as we have a '24 Bronco and the platform/powertrain is very good. The price is also $10k less and priced where Toyota should have priced Pro/TH's.

I cross shopped both the Ranger Raptor and the Pro. Definitely was impressed with the performance of the RR. I hate to say it, but the one thing I couldn't get over was the appearance/styling of the thing. Completely subjective, but it is just not an attractive truck. If I'm going to be spending $60k+ on a vehicle, I want to walk up to it and like what I see. The RR didn't come close to doing that for me.........

I agree especially the front end from the doors up and the interior screen, the interior fit wasn't as good as the Taco either. Did you drive one, our 2.7TT V6 in our 2 dr Bronco is great and has more excelleration than our new Taco Hybrid, but that 3.0TT V6 is even more, lots of fun!

not just that, who do you trust more in turbo platfrom nowadays, either 4 or 6cyl turbo, we just not talking about turbo engine, built quality on toyota is up there, I'll give Mexico a chance because its still too early, not hating on ford, just want a whole package and a peace of mind when I do sell it and it doesn't tank in value like most Fords and other domestic, or Nissan lol

Yes I agree there as well I trust Toyota over Ford just from personal experience! That was really the overlying end decision for me, Toyota may be slumping a little now but Ford has always slumped and I figured even all the little stuff would still be Toyota and not give you all the little headaches!

I don't make my decision to purchase a vehicle based on how many units are sold.

Nothing to do with the number of units sold. Only a tiny data point but you could interpret it to say that Chevy Colorado owners are the most satisfied with their purchase as reflected by the smallest percentage being resold.

I get confused or make a judgement I'm sure some won't like well beyond that point you bring up. That's how many don't buy the OR a model with the locker rear but go jack them up and put big tires on. My off roading is far more from being a MTB trail builder and ski area crew, but that's being off road, working, and a bit demanding and the locker and some basics are really all I need.

In winter time ski area duty I've encountered several vehicles either big tires jacked up pickups or fancy CarUVs getting in lots of trouble when a fairly basic TRD OR with 3PMSF tires or Subaru would have made it.

Since you brought up turbo engines and Nissan, I'll point out that the Nissan TT V6 is far and away the most reliable turbo 6 you can buy.
VR30 and VR38 are extremely reliable.

I'd buy a used one without thinking twice. Never new because of typical Nissan depreciation, of course.
    I wouldn't touch a new Tundra.

No shade on the Tacoma though, I think Toyota got this particular drivetrain right

Good points all. However, I have a hard time understanding why Toyota wouldn't include the locker in any 4x4 they sell. My 2WD F150 Ecoboost had a locker and after reading up on 4 wheeling a bit, seems that it would be very necessary if you want to get out there and explore for real. Please school me if I'm off the mark on this...

Probably because many/most folks simply don't need a physical locker when the traction control simulates a limited slip differential. Anti-lock braking system senses a spinning wheel and applies braking. Toyota saves $$ across tens of thousands of trucks.

Now it'd be nice if it were a configurable option, but efficient manufacturing does favor limiting the number of potential parts combinations.

Any 4x4 or every 4x4? The OR, Pro, and TH have locking diffs.

They will lock right up as long as you go from forward to reverse 4 times and slide your ass side to side in the seat hard as you can at the same time.

they need to chunk the crawl and mTS garbage and put a front locker and rear locker that works right. And let me use it whenever I want no when the computer allows me to.
