the time has come that i needed to retire my well-worn sets of jeans. after roughly 10 years, i got my use out of them. they're so thin, they almost rip just looking at them!

i was complaining how expensive just 3-4 pairs was going to be to my parents the other day, and my mom brought up that she found some 'full blue' jeans for only $10/pr. when i was looking at $30/pr, it's quite the savings! i don't need name brand, or a special color, i just need carpenter-style, for the extra pockets, and something that'll last decently well. getting 5 pairs for less than what 2 pairs of the name brands will run me, even without a special sale price is well worth it!

$10 is pretty dang good this day and age for dungarees as my mammaw called them. I have to be careful with cheap jeans or I will be waddling from the chafe.

I'm a Wrangler Authentic Comfort Waist kinda guy. Tough enough, yet soft enough.


We've got these one kind of flowers that bloom at the moonlight one night a year. They're pretty cool.

"Other duties as required" task of the day.

Move seven computers from one building to another. Piece of cake.

But wait! There's more!

Four go to one building, three to a different building at our downtown campus.

Oh, and each tower has 2 monitors. And cables. And keyboards, mice, etc...

And there's a 55" monitor on a stand. I'm reasonably certain I'm not on the hook for moving that one. Might be a tight fit squeezing it into a Durango without disassembly.

Then there was a random network printer that I might try to commandeer to replace an old one that isn't networked. And a box of network cables, a switch and assorted other stuff.

This was dinner last night! 2 pounds of fresh haddock baked with a package of Ritz crackers, Italian seasoning bread crumbs, panko bread crumbs, spices and melted butter. Baked at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. You can do it Rusty!

I feel like Paprika takes my chicken thighs up a whole level. Evoo, garlic powder, paprika, bang!

 

Paprika just has a subtle taste of dirt to me.

Now cumin and garlic, yes, please!

 

I'm moving it all, monitor and stand included.

 

That’s a very good deal for a good looking pair of jeans!
Many people have to fly or drive there to buy from the store tho.

 

Putting the conclusion of good or bad aside, the fine print in my job description "Other duties as required" has been keeping me super occupied.

 

Five hours later I have everything moved.

And what am I greeted by when I get back to my desk? More work.



Seven computers to install, six with multiple users, so not just a one and done.

That's next week me's problem.
