Good morning MD. I wanted to show you all a picture of my brothers new truck. I have been given some friendly ribbing about the length of my 4 door long bed Tacoma. I think it would look short next to this thing. Good thing he has 170 acres, he needs 40 of it just to turn around.

that’s too long for me but I could see myself driving a smaller cab shorter bed version. I’d love to have a diesel although I don’t need one. Just love the sound.

 

Every morning on my way back from the gym I drive past a house with 4 first gen standard cab Tacomas lined up in the driveway. All in excellent condition, clearly a collector. In western Howard County. Is that anyone on here?

Same, I was looking at Diesel trucks for a while because I think they would be perfect for my long haul drives. Then I came back to reality and remembered that the Tacoma is perfect for what I use it for.

I have a friend who has a deleted Cummins with a bunch of mods and it sounds like a fighter jet every time he starts it. I love it lol

So the AFE Momentum GT intake kit (oiled filter) arrived Wednesday and I dodged the raindrops in the late afternoon to instal it. Will run it with the Andersen spacer in for a while and then try it without. I've only put about 40 miles on it since Wednesday with a couple trips to Westminster, but in that short of a time I notice a difference in a couple areas. First when coming out of a turn (one road to another) and getting back on it it's smoother. Second, the ACIS transition also seems to be smoother. Haven't been able to give it a good WOT run yet, but that's coming. Overall I think it's generally quieter than the stock intake with the SPC tube during normal driving. When you start to load it up you can hear the resonator box more clearly than stock but it's not annoying. I also moved the OEM intake accelerator over to it. Will update once I get more miles on it.
