What Have You Done To Your 4th Gen Today?

I sit on my open tailgate a lot. Those damn ribs drove me nuts. My Amish neighbor gave me a chunk of heavy rubber. It wasn’t long enough but oh well. My ass likes it.

 

First time seeing those NYTOP wheels and I think I'm in love. What TPMS sensor did you install in them?

 

No, just following up on a question someone posted if the Snail Armor tailgate panel impacted the operation of the power tailgate.

 

Wash and wax day. Love underground when it is clean, but a pain to take care of!

Wanted to get the same darkness of tint as the rear windows. Much better IMO.

Nice Ride!! Long Beds look better overall in my opinion. Never been a fan of short beds - I get their appeal for off road but the access cabs with 6' box look better IMO but love the Long Beds with 4 doors! Hopefully mine is ready this year.

 

So I received the skid plate today. Out of the box, it felt pretty sturdy. I measured the thickness and it is 2mm, not 3mm or 1/8” steel. For my purposes, it will do just fine, but any serious trail or rock climbers, probably a no-go.
I’ll install in the morning and post a pic.

EDIT:
After getting this skid installed, I CANNOT recommend it. The front holes line up with the bumper, not the crossmember. I have an aftermarket steel bumper, so I was able to drill holes to match. I also had to remove the crossmember so it would sit flush.
And lastly, the oil filter access is not directly below the filter. We shall see if I keep this.
If you are serious about a skid plate, skip this one.

 

You never explained the fender flare resolution. I’m guessing they were not fixed under warranty.

Canada sucks - I asked about these and the Trailhunter rims and they said they are VIN locked. Also they’re not my favourite wheels but they are really nice and I wouldn’t change them if they came with the truck but if I have to buy them aftermarket there’s others I like better. The silver/black ones that come on the Off Road just aren’t it in my opinion. Not a fan of two toned wheels.
