I’m having to replace my ac compressor. It is locked up I bought it this way. First time working in a vehicle ac. I’ve seen where some people replace just one part and some replace almost the whole system. Looking for some advice and tips anything is greatly appreciated.

Around $26,000 worth of unleaded in the fuel tank.
If the compressor has been destroyed internally there is a chance that metal fragments can clog up other parts of the system. If that is not the case you should replace the condenser (while you're in there) the dryer and O-rings. Get the Denso compressor and it will come with oil in it.

Unless you want to learn all about AC you may be better off paying someone to take care of it. AC isn't rocket science but details matter. But at the least you will need to replace the dryer, changing the expansion valve while the system is open is a great idea, but it's not easy to replace on these. But if you don't have any contamination in the system it's not a big deal, just read up on how to properly use an AC manifold for charging. And you will need a good vacuum pump to pull and hold a vacuum...I like to pull a vacuum overnight, the longer the better.

Madnachos, I need to remove my evaporator and replace the o rings, the evaporator is new but I may damaged an o rings on installation. question: while I have it on the bench can I use air to verify the o rings are sealing properly?

You can use an air compressor, but keep in mind that when you compress all that atmospheric air it will include the moisture in that air. It should be ok though after you use a vacuum pump on the system before charging it with refrigerant.

Not sure if you can bench test the o-rings, but be sure to lube them, they can get torn without it. I have used some AC specific "snot" in the past but you just need something that lets it slip a bit when tightening.
