My truck isn't picky. It'll strand you on the street or in the dirt, and won't think twice about it either...

I always imagine you west coast guys have unlimited desert in your backyards, my offroading is a 3 hour drive other than the beach.

What's the average highway drive time to offroad for you guys?

Depends on what I’m in the mood for. I have an area I can go throw the truck into a mile of whoops about 2 mins away from my house. But anything longer than that it’s a 30min drive ish to get to the dirt

I'm in Sacramento (nor cal). We have an off-road park, Prairie City about 30-min from me. But they have no jumps or anything rough. We mainly go there for a shakedown. The Nevada desert is minimum 2.5 hours from here. But we can leave early morning and cover 150-miles of dirt and be home in a day. We could also do that every weekend and not cross our tracks. In the winter the Sierras are just 45-mins for snow wheelin but that's getting not fun to me. The western slope is 0-7500' elevation change in a highway hour and the good snow is a thin sliver of elevation...too high and it's too deep, too low and it's mud. Just right is about 3-miles.

I’m about an 100 miles south of Johnson Valley and 100 miles north of Ocotillo Wells. The absolute best 2 places in California to offroad. I do day trips to both places often.

I am in central San Diego, so have some trails about an hour east, Corral Canyon, Valley of the Moon, then down into Anza Borrego 1.5 hours, Ocotillo Wells 2 hours, JV and Big Bear is closer to 3 hours from me. Hitting up Gold Mountain next weekend, and it is about 3 hours from my place to trail head.

Closest spot with a jump and some rocks is about 5-7 minutes. One side of the Rubicon is about 45 minutes, Johnson Lane OHV about 45 in the other direction.

Told myself I’d get out there once these new tie rods show up, installed’en yesterday and still have a little work.. but fuck it, who needs a turning radius.

For those with cages, how many tie in points are there to the frame? I'm guessing 6?

Can you do me a favor and take some pictures of where your cage is tied into the frame? Thanks!

Swapped out my 2 Tube 2.5’s for some 3 tube 3.0’s today. Buddy totaled his shit so he let me swap the shocks out for some stock ones, and I gave him the 2.5’s to sell. Super pumped. These things click wayyyyyy more than the 2.5’s did. Just rolling on flat pavement and they’re clicking away.
