First thing is pack the gears with grease and the seond thing is use a toyota gasket only... there are horror stories of people using aftermarket cover gaskets and having 0 oil pressure, apparently too thick of a cover gasket will not allow the suction side of the pump to pull oil through the pickup, the gears are sucking air and not oil.

Packing the pump gears with grease? Haven't heard of that. This is a 3.4 L. In terms of the gasket, think there is one paper version on the pickup tube, an o-ring that sits against the block, and then FIPG between block and pump.

Around $26,000 worth of unleaded in the fuel tank.
An Aisin pump should be fine, it is probably identical to the OEM pump.

When I did mine on the 3rz, didn’t use grease but a basic petroleum jelly. Just smooshed it into the gears and oil pressure built right away

You're probably right. They scratch something out on the one from RockAuto - could be "Toyota", hard to make out. Be aware if you order this one it does not come with the pickup tube paper gasket or the o-ring for the block. Don't be like me, and make sure you have those before you plan on doing the job.
