Those who lose it when looking at $2000 CPUs and $1500 graphics cards need to give their wallet to a "responsible" party before walking in. Hmmmmm ... sounds like TW ... o_O:rofl::anonymous:

I don't know if its going to matter. We used to have Fry's Electronics and now they are gone.

I think it's the other way around. CPU's are $500-$700 and GPU's are arm, leg and first born.

I went into Fry's years ago before they closed. They had everything from microwave ovens to kitchenware, with a few hard-drives left. They had lost their focus. Microcenter is printers, CPUs, RAM, monitors, a few drones ... but no sofas or refrigerators.

Probably true. It has been a few years since I custom-built one. Still ... the "wall of CPUs" is tempting.

I think that was more towards the end to try and save themselves. I remember going in forever ago and they had tons of computer piece parts and components. A previous boss even purchased my work laptop from them. They were my Radioshack replacement when I needed resistors too.

The only Microcenter I've been to was in Denver and to me it seemed close enough, ha. I'll be curious to see how long they last.

Microcenter rose from a tiny strip-mall sized store in Columbus OH (was there back in the day, 15, 20 years ago?) to warehouse-size that are all over the country. Whenever I was in the Columbus OH one they were busy, and never "got desperate". Fry's was already "refrigerators and microwaves, also" after Microcenter was huge-warehouse sized.

But I am not their defender or PR firm, I am just observing.

I built one in April. I was able to find the cpu in February from bhphoto and a forum member sold me their brand new in box 5070ti. Newegg had everything else at combo pricing. The mobo jumped $100 in price after I finished the build.

So you were going for "understatement"?

If they open the store, just imagine the fun! If there is a Mrs. MGMDesertTaco I imagine she will hold your wallet.

Barely two blocks from me. I'm over the moon excited. Been wanting a Microcenter for ages even though my PC build is still pretty new.

    Totally agree.
Went into Frys Electronics near the end and asked for help in two departments
    1. Keyboards
    2. Radio Antennas / Connections

No one in those departments knew anything about their department. And that check out process was the worst experience ever.

The employees not knowing anything about their departments doesn’t seem to hurt Home Depot or Lowe’s.

So apparently there's a real prick in New Mexico

Dude was actively passing two vehicles going 82 mph but the dude in the 2nd Gen was apparently late for something.
