I like this. I don't suppose you can have the fogs on with headlights off? Probably a different mod altogether called all lights off except fogs.

Gave her a foam cannon bath, swept her out, and installed the Toyota sill protectors. Front sills have the Tacoma lettering and rear have the Toyota badge.

 

Ordered led front signal bulbs. DRL’s.
I’m hoping to just replace the oem flasher with a led specific flasher. Has anyone done this yet. Trim sr5.

 

No such item on the 3rd gen, it's run through the ECU, so you need to add resistors.

 

Hyper flash happens when there isn't enough resistance in the circuit, whether it's a bulb out or LEDs in circuit.

 

Right now I do not have an issue. But I prolly will when I upgrade to led drl’s seeing as that is also the signal for the front. Sr5 trim 2019.

 

Or maybe the order has ‘em built in ??

How are those put on ? Do they snap on ? With adhesive ? And the most important question is. How pricey are they ?

I 100% need to get the bubble mirror. These tacoma mirrors look good but kinda suck.

Sill protectors are adhesive, not snap on.

 

Believe it or not they were only 39 bucks from Toyota for front and back dbl cab. I picked them up, they wanted 25 to ship them...NOT!

They're self adhesive. Heavy textured vinyl, not sure of the mil but they're thick. Cleaned the sills and then lightly misted them with some soapy water. I don't think you'd want to try to put these things on going the dry method, super tacky. With mist, they went on real well. Just had to squeeze the water out and work them with a microfiber. I do not foresee these things coming off.

I’ve been pleased with them. They don’t have blind spot monitoring if your truck has them, mine doesn’t so I didn’t lose anything. You also get to keep factory heated mirrors
