I found a Powertrax no slip locker on Craigslist for $150. It says 8.0 ring gear and it came out of 2001 s runner. I have a 99 v6 4x4. Will this fit? and it says it needs a replacement spring kit from manufacture. I looked but couldnt find anything Any idea as where to get this?

Ask him what side his drain plug is on. Right of center is an "8.4" and should work for you.

True, but I'm pretty sure the 8.4 is the only yota axle (of the truck styles anyway) that had the drain plug off to the right. I think the 7.5 and 8" (both e-locked and open) were to the left.
