I found the purple cars at local grocery store (H.E.B. The others were from DT. Walmarts here are purged quick. And I looked at 6pm so they must have restocked.

This tariff blunder has places not knowing whether or not to order, I would think we will be seeing new stuff on the shelves next week being a new month, but who knows? Haven’t seen anything new around here in 6 weeks

    Hi all,
My involvement with Taco World is gonna take a backseat for awhile this summer so I wont be on here as much. When I realized the scope of what we are getting into "down sizing" things at home this is going to be overwhelming. It started with the 2 yard sales we are having the following 2 weekends and morphed into an animal all of its own with everything else we needed to start thinking about letting go. We are getting older( Im 65) and decided not to wait until we are to old to do this when we have to. I saw what happens when you do that when my father in law died and my mother in law moved into assisted living. Fortunately another family member bought their home and we had time to empty out their house which filled several trash dumpsters. Hopefully the yard sales will get the rest gone.
I got rid of my diecasts 8 years ago that were packed away into totes and boxes in the basement and only keep what will fit into my Gasser Room. That wont change but everything in the garage is gonna go which is about 200 pcs. I'm also letting a lot of tools go I don't use anymore and gonna try to get rid of a lot of my artist prints and artwork. Eventually a lot of that I can donate to museums and historical societies if I don't sell it outright.
I'm not the problem. My wife is. She has held on to everything over the years with her collections of Raggedy Ann and Andy's, Holly Hobbies and Boyd's Bears. I didn't realize she was a closet hoarder until we began digging this stuff out. There was 8-10 large totes in the basement but her Raggedy Ann room was stuffed floor to ceiling in the closet, under the bed and 6 more large totes in the corners. We never had children.
So much stuff and no idea of values with most things being mint and still in boxes. We will be researching this on line plus I see us having to sell most of this online as well or through consignment stores, flea markets and auctions. Yard sales are for mostly nickel and dime items.
I decided several years ago that when I bought something new something old had to go. I'm glad I did that right now after seeing what my wife has on her hands. Ill see something and then ask myself if you buy that what has to go? Usually I don't buy it unless I know its better than what is gonna have to leave. Hot Wheels didn't take up to much space but having 100 Hot Wheels 55 Chevy Gassers all different does.
Appreciated everyone who helped me over the years on Taco World.

Hope everything works out good. Tuff to get rid of stuff that’s taking up room but you love and isn’t junk. Enjoy seeing your pics (especially the customs) so hopefully it won’t be too long before we see them again. Also hope you have just a little time now and then to stop in and see what’s new, but then again maybe this isn’t the place to visit if you’re trying to downsize.

Bummer! But you gotta do what you gotta do. In the famous words of Dave Chappell‘s joint after being tossed off the bridge in the movie Half Baked,” you’ll be baaaaaack..”

I had a whole bunch of porche that I cleared out recently in reducing my retention. You missed it by a week or so.

Surprised to see the red editions from Target...as they are older editions that were on the pegs. And 5 Below had the Metal Machines truck which seems to be popular.
