Also, add-a-leafs, rear shocks, rear axle shims, and fake rear bumper caps for project Chromius Deletus

    For the 2017 OR

On deck, super bumps rear bump stops and U bolt flip kit. If either the promotion/raise goes through or OT gets approved again

And in the wings will be front coilovers

I don't know that I've ever heard anything good. lol

If other companies use their ball joints in their products, I figured tie rods would be alright. It's a tie rod. :notsure:

Edit: The outer and inners were normally $175. Bundle deal for $75.
    SOLD!

Hey everything deserves at least one shot. And if it works, score!

And if it doesn't.... Well it's only $75.

I have the rear bumper caps.
Those were from ET and they sent the wrong finish, so I just painted them and put them on.

I had already sent other shit back for returns/exchanges and didn't feel like dealing with those ass hats anymore.

Can someone explain the benefits of the u-bolt flip to me like I'm a 6 year old? I've never looked into it myself. I replaced my u-bolts when I added shims, but never looked into if/why I should flip.

The plate that holds the u-bolts [that gets tightened with the bolt] tight to the axle and leaf pack hangs below the axle by a decent bit. flipping it up allows you to just have the u-bolt sitting below the axle, and the plate is on top. free clearance (yay), flat strike plate for bump stops (also yay), keeps the u-bolts from dragging/bending/etc.

Gotcha. So clearance gained (I'm all about that) and no risk of messing up those threads underneath too. I may have to look into this. Open to suggestions for tried and true kits.

Everyone's [archive, icon, toytec] gotta kit, im sure they're all fine. Just make sure your bump stop protects your shocks adequately [at full compression you should have some shock shaft left so you don't blow your shock end out] and i'm sure it's fine.

FWIW the 'clearance' aspect is a bit...vague. idk. people yap about clearance under the axle, but the reality is that u-bolt plate is pretty close to the wheel end of the axle, and most people do a decent job protecting that area because you're not gonna be straddling a big ol boulder that close to your wheel. considering the number of people who boogie plenty hard in the rocks with a SUA setup, im not 100% convinced it's a great buy if ALL YOU WANT is more clearance. it's the benefit of all those parts [more clearance, better thread protection, better mount for your bumpstop, etc] combined, especially if you're swapping leaf packs at the same time.

dont forget to retorque em after some miles. thanks for coming to my ted talk

I'm partial to the Archive Garage U-bolt flip with the option 3 bump stops https://archivegarage.com/products/...t-gen-tundra-2000-2006?variant=42096145661999

The top plates are heavy duty. I had a different flip kit before the Archive and the top plates actually bent when I went to retorque the bolts...

I still have the aal in so not planning on any flip until I get a full leaf pack.....

I trimmed my ubolts back before going to Kentucky.....if they're trimmed up enough, there's plenty of plate protecting the threads.
