It’s smaller than a dinner plate. It would take forever to cut the lawn.

I'm on 1/3 acre and use a gas push mower. I don't think two batteries would keep up with this lawn, I'd need 3+ and cycling them through would be a pain in the balls.

I'm juuuuust on the cusp where a tractor isn't stupid but it's also a little stupid. I want a tractor because i want one but i don't think i can justify it with my lawn :p

It's almos overkill for my yard too, but come fall when it's leaf season it is worth it in spades

We have a Greenworks that's about the size of a gas mower, 20" I think? It does a great job and I don't think we've ever had a time when the battery didn't get the job done. We also have some Black and Decker battery trimmers and blowers and I like them around the house.

Second the Stihl battery gear. I have a mower and a whacker, they're great.

    Indeed.
I put Gator blades on the beater tractor and they do a number on the leaves.

Sure do! It’s running great aside from pulling to the right. I really need to fix that because it’s a total pain to try and muscle this machine around. I have a big property for the mower size but it’s not in good shape so I’m not buying a full size mower/zero turn until the yard/landscape is better.

For that small of a yard, I’ll echo the folks that recommended a battery mower. No gas, no oil changes. I went with an Ego and am happy. I decided on Ego because I thought they had the best overall snow blower and mower options. Eventually, I will get the battery snow blower as well and only want one set of batteries. I may get the leaf blower at some point and would go Ego for that also.

No idea what they run these days but I've got a ten year old Husqvarna with a Honda motor self propelled. Change the oil every year and it always starts up. Don't use the bag just mulching blade

I have the same mower. It’s a tank. Best mower I’ve ever owned.

I got a honda for free and it gets absolutely abused. I bring it camping and use it like a brushhog to maintain the site we go to. Starts 1st or second pull every time

Those Honda engines are absolutely crutch! they are so quiet and unbelievably powerful. not to mention you are absolutely correct how it starts on the 1st or 2nd pull every single time and it's still so easy to pull. back in the day when I used to work over at Sears, I used to sell them got them and the biggest customer was actually people over the age of 65 because they were so easy to start.

I have the same one that hasn't been (as) abused. Needs some tending to, first start up this year took some convincing. But after that, it's been at most 3 pulls all year, and was the same last year (first start up needed some vigor).

I do 1/3 acre, mostly all open grass at the moment, thing's a beast.
