Unfortunately I found this video on YouTube. Seems like it isn’t just a simple mirror cover swap and quick turn signal install. Sorry buddy. Was hoping it could be quick and simple for you.

I did the Meso Customs V5 Switchbacks because I wanted the DRL functionality. I love them.

MESO customs here. Bought them on sale so it eased the sticker shock. Love em’. Easy install and they match OEM turn signal timing. I have yet to hook up the DRL function though. Oh well, I’m still pleased.

My MESO lights definitely don't match up to the OEM LED lights. I've tried it in sequential and standard blink and it's slightly off.

Is there anyway to put on these lights if I got a Tacoma that didn't come with them?

Okay so Im not drunk now and think I misunderstood? These High Fly ones wont interrupt DRL functionality, but just dont come on with DRL? is that correct?

The 30 or whatever dollar ones I got on Amazon do not illuminate solid when you turn on DRLs or headlights. They only sequential with signals.

Same with my high flyers from Amazon.
Never really checked to see if the are in time with blinker.
    Kinda doesn’t matter to me.

Okay. For the price I can totally deal with that. I misunderstood and thought it completely boned the running lights.

As long as its not over running the head light blinkers and staying in sync I'm happy.

“Sync” would be a generous term… From the videos I’ve seen the mesos begin and end their sequence at the same time as headlights.
I’m too lazy to film and upload a vid of the Amazon ones, but they exist around here somewhere

none so far, just getting started!
Well, this thread is a year old by now, but figured I'd chime in since I also bought the High Flying lights off Amazon. The work fine, were easy to install, but...

The problem I have with them is that the way the regular front turn signals sequence is they light up fully at first, then sequence OFF in the direction your turning. In contrast, these side turn signals sequence from off to ON in the direction your turning, making it look (to me) like a cheesy add-on and not factory at all. Looking at it from the front, it looks like the lights are confused, and not sync'd even though they are (sort of). The front turn signals are fully off by the time the side mirror turn signal is fully on. I mean, they're cheap and easy to install, which is why I don't feel compelled to keep these.

I found MESO Customes V5 Switchback lights that will sequence exactly like the front turn signals, but they're a bit more pricey! But it's a vanity thing, right? lol
