Hello everyone, I'm new to the forms, and would like to ask for some help. I have a 2005 Tacoma crew with the 4.0, 320k on the dial, I've owned it for about 4 years it had 220k when I bought it, it has been a great ride so far, there has been a check engine light on for the last 6 months P0016, it has been the only code, I would reset it and it would stay off for a month or so and then when I would crank it would Idle rough and the come back on. well long story short I was returning from a trip to town, and while traveling a local city street I suddenly had no power while pressing the accelerator., I Coasted over and call for a tow, I got the truck home and pulled the following codes. P0016 Crankshaft Position-camshaft position correlation Bank 1 Sensor 1, the next code is P0606 ECCM /Processor, then 3 codes p0441, P0455,P0456, all 3 Being EVAP codes.
the engine is in a no start condition, I used my scan tool and checked the fuel Pump, the fuel pump does come on.
I do have the correct voltage at the Battery. and I have checked all of the Fuses. will the timing issue cause a Not start due to a slack chain? I'm unsure of what to do or check next, seems like it would at least fire, it ran great before this happed.

So you need to start with fuel/spark/air basics.

First check the security light is turning off when the key is inserted.

Jumping to conclusions, I'd start with fuel pressure, its most likely.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/2006-fuel-pressure-check.781922/

I go kamikaze and simply have someone bump the starter with the fuel line disconnected and a water bottle over the port. It should spray when cranking.

Did you maybe run out of fuel :anonymous:?
The gauges on these are known to not be very accurate when they get older, maybe put a little in it and see what happens.

Beyond that check the basics, spark, fuel pressure, injector pulse and see what's missing.

thank you to everyone who replied, sometimes the simplest thing are the easiest, I've never had a Problem with the gas gauges not reading correctly, but in the voice of Carl from Slingblade, It aint got no gas in it! :annoyed:, thank you DM 93, bishop 4, you guys made me stop and think and not over complicate the process in my mind. I put gas in the tank and it fired up. look like its time to replace the sending unit. I recently purchased a 2006 Motor with 88k, that's my next project
