That is crazy LOL. I remember my 392 was quite enjoyable, but not stupid enough to get me into trouble. But I've also been out of the V8 game long enough that I know those senses are dulled.

Gotcha on the SPOD relay module; I assumed it was theft countermeasure related for the Hellcat

The new one is absolutely absurd. Needs tires badly. The stock Pirellis are poop.

I would get Continental or Michelin, but none of them last very long with that much power. These were from the Dodge Hellcat event at Barrett Jackson a couple of years ago. There's rumors Dodge is bringing the V8's back in 2026. :fingerscrossed:

Upgraded to 285s and sema wheels. 285/70/17 nitto terra grappler g3 to be exact. Road noise is barely more than stock. Tire weight was one of the main concerns of mine going to a 285. These are 48lbs and one of few 285s I could find under 50lb that still looked rugged. Can’t say for sure mpg loss as I still have to do the Speedo calibrater but my guess is only about 2mpg loss off stock size. IMG_7566.jpg IMG_7567.jpg

Is this a direct drop in replacement for our 3rd gens? Any issues with the alternator providing enough charging? Is this a dry battery as opposed to our OEM wet lead/acid batteries?
    Any pros and or cons?

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Well, size-wise it's a direct drop-in. Technically, the alternator won't keep it fully charged, AGMs like to run at 14.2-14.4v and that's controlled by the ECU.

AGM batteries are 'wet' batteries, but the acid is absorbed into a fiberglass mesh, so they won't actually spill.

Oh, and the pro would be that they are less prone to sulfidation if they are discharged heavily.

Great looking setup! I’ve heard good things about the G3’s so far. I ran the G2’s years and years ago on my old Ram 1500.

AGM's are sealed (absorbed glass mat), so you can't add distilled water like lead acid. I find lead acid batteries leak. These don't. The alternator needs an updated ecu tune to ensure proper charging voltage. There's some write ups on the forums.

I still have the stock tune. I'll top it off with a noco genius 10 occasionally if/when I remember. I also keep a noco boost gb40 in the center console, but I've never needed it.

They fit the tray, but you'll need an aftermarket battery strap. I think Off Grid Engineering stopped making these a while back.

These are made in Japan, 4 year replacement warranty and under $200. I replace them every 2 years in AZ irregardless, because of extreme heat.

For the price and warranty why not upgrade to AGM? :notsure:

Other than that it's a direct drop in replacement.

edit: higher cca and longer run/storage times when truck is off and they handle abuse better than lead acid (short trips, heavy movement, heat, ect).

edit again: only about 5lbs heavier than the factory battery

Looks good. For the carry, you got the hard mount V2 right? What's the holster you're using in that pic?

Just got my rago mount with bridge installed yesterday. Used an old holster and was able to bolt it in on the side of the bridge via the clip mount bolts. Perfect! Didn't have to buy anything else. Plan to get some other mounts and accessories for other things for sure tho. Piece is usually on me but will holster it here when in the sticks and other rare occasions.
