We're back to cell service after a 3 day stay at Teklineka. We hiked the 1st day up the river bed to get great look at the mountains. Worth the walk.
Day 2 had 3 Grizzlies walk past camp. Have vid I'll post when I get home. Good story from that encounter.
Tomorrow we are going to try to find a bush pilot to go sightseeing.

It's 10:00 am. The parking lot at the Starbucks in the park should be packed. There are 4 cars. Seems the cool weather is keeping the masses away. Rain has been minimal the whole trip.

We arrived at Talkeetna about 1:30 and got a site on the edge of town. It's somewhat a shitty site but we have a plane ride around Denali with a glacier landing for tomorrow at 1 pm.
Apparently there are very few places to actually see Denali Mt. Kinda disappointing but we are still having a blast. The plane goes around the mountain.
Right now the weather is iffy so we're going out for dinner tonight.

    Welcome to Alaska!

    Btw, Talkeetna is pretty awesome.

We were lucky enough to be there on a rare cloud free day.

Awesome! Btw, stop at the cool open air knife store in town. I still kick myself for not buying one while I was there.
