Ya there are also 3 holes in the bottom of the larger side of the tubing that allow for venting water that you will need to close as well.

Right now I am using this with my CAI so I dont have any holes really.

I live close to a store that had the correct fitting but you will need to add either some 3" tube cut to size or if your like me and have a bend you will need a 45* elbow tube. I chose aluminum and got it locally. IF you do not get this your will have nothing to clamp down to.

I needed 1/2 inch on the side of the snorkel and 1" on the side of the intake.

LOL. Just hope this makes it a little easier. I personally think its insane that safari snorkels dont have a model for our trucks specifically by now.... I mean come on its been 5 years and tons of expedition trucks later nothing! Thats kind of crap in my eyes and I am glad this helps.

i agree. the fact that their distributors even had to come up w/ a template is BS.

If it were not for tacodoc and the others who have worked on this we would have been sol..... and for that to be the case with the #1 selling truck to me is just bad business.... O well this new way works awesome for me. I already emailed kurt the update. Hopefully this will be included in the future kits.

it would make a nice addition for the folks wanting to utilize the stock intake piping or if they already have a CAI and think they cant run the snorkel w/ it.

I agree. And I am actually getting stellar numbers by using this system and my Cold air intake. I went from an average of 250 miles per tank mostly offroad, to +320 now on my last 2 tanks. I am super stoked.

Must be nice! I use my truck mostly to run my huskies so my commute is about 5 minutes on road and 45 offroad for most of the year.

What kind of filter are you running?

I am running the pro dry for the CAI also. I am considering getting the one you have and running the stock intake as well to see if I can increase the gas miles any more.

A friend has the same truck and runs the stock intake, same tires, lift, and bumpers and drives almost the same.... stilll gets a little better miles

i havent even begun to split them yet. when i get a chance to do my own mod day for the snorkel, i'll take em apart and get you pics of the assemblies. they are nicked up on the back sides, but they are intact w/ no broken tabs.
