Has anyone run matching tires on trailer and truck? Thinking of converting my trailer to run a 265/70/17 but nervous that the width 10.5"? might make it wander on the highway.
    Any input is appreciatedPXL_20250526_005210348~2.jpg

Why do you want to do that? What is it you want to accomplish, what advantages to doing that?

Hello Sir, my first objective is usually world domination and after that I am looking to increase shareholder value. Besides that I like the idea of 2 spares that work on either vehicle (I get this means I would need adaptors on the trailer axle). I grew up on and around small farms and ranches and my father is an fairly clever man. He had matching wheels (matching size and backspacing) and tires on his dually and his double dual gooseneck flatbed that we hauled hay, steel and equipment on. It was a very over the top convivence but I liked it. I don't think our livestock trailers were matching but I know folks that would match their trailer tires to the truck for the sake or redundancy. I am not attempting to cross Siberia or even the southwest but I do like convivence. Also I am considering replacing the tires on my truck and moving the old tires to my trailer. the truck tires still have 50% tread and are much newer and of a higher esteemed brand than the trailer tires that are 7-8 years old.

Just was wondering if anyone had input on running a 10.50 wide on a small trailer.

Also I like your Buffalo trace callout in your signature

I don’t have experience with 10.5 tires on a trailer but I dont see any problems with running 10.5’s. I’ve seen off road trailers with wide tires from the factory.
