First oil change after 200k miles.

Last oil test showed some increased Aluminum and iron in the oil, hoping that was due to a misfire I had and that its going to show clean.

Also tried to figure out why my electric fan setup stopped working randomly, luckily I wired in an override switch for the controller.. Everything is working again, suddenly.

Easy fix if its just a burnt bulb. If youre sticking to OEM then you will need Part #90981-11014 for the bulb and 90339-04074 for the amber cap. But you could probably reuse the one already on the existing bulb if its in good shape.

    Ready for high build primer.

I tried to do it the lazy way and just mask the grille.

    Not happy with it.

I need to separate the grille shell so I can paint it properly.

Mostly finished. Need to weatherproof the box, wire the side lights then finish making the wire looms. Bunch of other odds and ends....But it's on the truck finally!!

Also drove her this morning to go check this thing out. Debating on picking it up. 98 TJ with 100k miles. 5 spd stick. I think it has the 4 cylinder in it though. For 5500. I don't know anything about jeeps. Any of you all own one similar or know anything about em? Is it a good deal. Just looking to putt around with it as is. Maybe back and forth to work in the summer months.

Owned a few jeeps in the past. The only thing I would point out is that the 4 cylinder is totally gutless, though not as bad with the 5 spd.

Not really. I’ve taken multiple grilles apart and put them back together without any problems

    Separated the grille shell.

Prepped it correctly and primed it.

Hopefully I can block it tomorrow and lay some color down.

will say this the 2.5l is slow but they did have turbo options. so could maybe be adapted.

for me taking it apart was simple, but putting it back together made me rethink my decision. i was not anticipating get it back together being that tedious. all the tabs were mangled after i *gently* took it apart which is probably why i didnt enjoy putting it back together.

    Heat gun.

    Low setting.

Heat the melted/folded over tab just enough to soften it.

Pry gently between the bezel and the insert.

The 2 pieces will separate and tabs will straighten out as you pull.

Clean up the tabs & holes and it’ll go right back together.
