Hello Im wondering if the Baja designs ditch lights are able to plug in to the fog lights on my 3rd gen Tacoma if not I’ll just pay full price on actual fogs, if so then I save a couple bucks buying the ditch lights

I’m pretty sure that you will need an adapter for your lights to get them to fit in the factory fog light location. Contact Baja Designs and they will tell you what you need. Got adapters from them to go from flush mount to regular mount. Good to work with.

It is technically possible, but you would also need to buy extensions and the pigtail adapters that come in the kit. Or it would be recommended to just use the harness that comes with the set of lights. This will require you to run the switch into the cab, but it will be the less expensive option. Feel free to shoot me an email! We would love to help you out in getting what exactly you want, rather than something you may not be looking for. The fog light kit works great, and that is what we would recommend, as it keeps the OEM feel of the vehicle.

Wouldn't "ditch lights" also have a different beam pattern than a set of actual "fog" lights (more like a spot/flood light rather than the proper 'fog' beam pattern that is narrow vertically, but wide horizontally)? I wouldn't think they'd even function properly as a fog light.

As stated above you really need to specify what you mean by ditch lights. Technically with the pig tail adapters and mounting brackets you can easily install any squadron light into the fog light position. The bezel won't match up with the bumper but it will technically fit.

Having said that light pattern is just as important to consider. Nothing besides an sae fog pattern should be installed. Especially for street use. A combo pattern will not work as a fog light and driving wide has no cut off for street use but is an awesome offroad light but not a good fog light.
