Who cares? Unless you're a car salesman. I can't understand why people need to justify their vehicle purchase by how many units are sold after they make their purchase?

That's kind of crazy as I don't see that many of the facelift Rangers not compared to 4Gs on the road. Wasn't the Ranger also released in 24? 24-25 F-150 I see plenty of them.
I don't have a 4G but check the monthly sales to see what's selling did the same with the 3G.

Sales figures are always interesting, at least to me and I'm sure others. Has nothing to do with justifying a purchase. In fact, I've proudly owned cars of which less than 300 were ever sold in the US.

Why not? Some people are just really into automobiles and find these kinds of stats interesting. I find it interesting just to see where trends are going, what's selling, what isn't. Always been into cars since I was a wee lad and probably always will be.

It has nothing to do with justifying what I bought though.

I can see that, but you're not taking time to post sales figures to justify your purchase.

Most folks that are into cars spend their time driving or working on their cars. But if checking sales figures of automobiles is your thing, cool.

I find the auto industry more interesting than the products produced sales, production, design, marketing. The end product is not as interesting to me as everything else involved. Yes I do have intrest in the product, but once you see it and drive it they're all the same thing at the end of the day. My interest must not be that great because I don't know much about it. Who would have thought tariffs would effect Tacomas once all production was moved to Mexico? I wouldn't have thought of that in a million years, not that there is that much effect on Tacoma sales due to tariffs. I did catch a 5G 4R in that Everest color about 5 cars back on my way home today.

I hold the general interest too. It was long ago now, but I part-owned a firm that served an assembly plant and parts makers. Also, I had a period when I was a production and QC manager in a parts maker. Well beyond that I am a news junkie and like data stuff. The all of it helps being informed and not so reactionary as many are.

Discounts on Tacomas are still very good, currently. Online prices are discounted about 8% at my local dealer and I am sure I could quickly get that south of 10% by just sitting down with a salesman for 15 minutes. If only a LB hybrid existed, I'd do just that. So long as MSRP remains flat and solid discounts continue, sales should remain strong.

    Supply and demand.

If I could get an OR or Sport premium for $45k OTD I'd probably have one in my driveway tomorrow.

Do you think a 4G tows substantially better than a 3G? I'm preparing to sell my 2016 TRD Sport for a bigger truck, but I'd love to stay with a Tacoma if the newer gen tows better.

There are towing threads here that talk about how much better it performs. You have to look at the torque curve and how impressive the low end torque is on the Tacoma. Add to that, you're getting extra gears further enhance the towing experience.

Did you graduate 5th grade? Rather than focusing on me, you really should be focusing on your spelling.
