Not sure-check what bearing they have. I worked with the guy in the store. Think I spent more than that (know I did on the first set), but they should be fine.

seals get blown out from the rapid temperature change of hot components being submerged. not from the pressure of being under water.

Now it doesn't even pay to start working. With me being the plant social and gossip director now I have catch up here.

It’s tough when you have people talking about blowing seals during Pride month.

I don’t think you’re wrong; however, the wheeling I do doesn’t get them hot to begin with. I am guessing for arguments sake they are hot but bearings shouldn’t get real hot. Bigger problems if they are doing anything more than warm to the touch. Can’t imagine any temp change extreme enough to be letting water in. But, I am in need of rear seals and am now on my third set of front bearings… might take my ramblings with a grain of salt

Pretty big difference between getting a little rain splashed on your hub vs submerging them in water.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Don't see how, dunking them isn't putting pressure on your seals, unless they're blown (see above). I suspect road spray at 55 mph has more force behind it...remember putting your hand out the window when it was raining?

    It's not about force.

It's the difference between being hit with a spray VS being submerged.

    That's just my opinion.
