New clutch problems

Well, after trying to get a refund/replacement through rock auto and being unsuccessful, I decided to straighten the splined center hub on the clutch disk, and put it back together with the disk installed opposite of how I had it before. I am only able to get it into gear with the push rod adjusted so far that there is zero free play in the pedal. And after the vehicle warms up, it gets difficult to go into gear. So I have to order a new clutch kit.

 

what are they telling you the reason of no refund?

 

First, they told me it has been too long since I ordered the parts (more than 30 days). Then after some back and forth, they said they would accept it as long as it was in the original packaging. The issue with that is I no longer had the original box (my fault for sure). So it's a no go on getting a replacement or refund.

Were you getting a different brand clutch?
If you are, send them the second box back with the first clutch.

 

Yes I'm probably going with an aisin or exedy. Shouldve done that the first time around.
