I found this one for 6K. I'm trying to figure out what kind of bike I want. I love the idea of a Transalp, but I don't really know if I need that and my Rally. I love the old-school vibes of the Triumphs/Royal Enfields. The Thruxton is also one I really like, but just don't know how comfortable it'd be.......cause I kinda what comfort this go round.

One of my docs(has his own plane) is flying down to the beach in a week or two and said he could divert and drop me off so I could do a fly-n-ride.

That G-Wagen was absolutely insane. It felt so heavy and well put together. The portal axles are pretty slick too. I couldn't imagine paying that price though. He's let me take his Shelby Raptor R and Vette. The Vette was fucking fast.

Externally the forks are the same as is the rear shock. There is a 1” difference in travel. Shorter side stand on the SM. Caliper on the front is different and the rotor on the SM is larger. The rear brake stuff is all the same. I looked up all the part numbers to see what was different. Yes much easier just to so the swap this way. It’s actually pretty easy.

personally i wouldnt consider a 690 after having one fyi. it was just heavy and with making a compromise on tires additionally i would want the lighter 500 to toss around. 690 could do 3+ hrs on the highway if you wanted though, ive personally done 8 hr days split into two trips

His Raptor R had been sent out to Shelby. It came with a gift certificate to go do some kind of off-road course in Moab(I think). The Vette was just so cool having a mid-engine. He had a bunch of carbon fiber stuff on it. One of my favorites of his is a 1967 Bronco that has been completely restored and only has 37K miles on it. It's nowhere near as nice as most of his others.....but to see something that old and be restored back to original is incredible.

I have been looking at those as well, but the T100 or maybe even the speed twin. Don't know about the 5 speed though. I like the looks of the Motoguzzi V7 too. Have you checked that out?

The closest dealer to me is 100 miles away. I'd prefer to have a dealer closer......although I don't know that I'd use them a lot.....just my way of thinking

We have a local Powersports dealer here, but there's a small shop that is known for British bikes. I've even used him for my Honda and Yamaha before too. We also have quite a few dealers over in Columbus GA about 40 minutes away.
