    And another little protip get you one of those stupid looking little hats at the welding supply store. If you are laying under something pull the bill around to cover the ear that is up. Or if your propping against something over the ear closest to your shoulder if you’re arm is in the up position. Prevents a bank shot if the spatter goes in your ear all you can do is listen to it fry. Ask me how I know :mad:

    I’ve heard stories from the old insulators about having it all over them and blowing it off to go to lunch or home. With a mig I normally tac without a hood just close my eyes.

    God bless you, your family, your wife, and her care providers, that they are able to get her to as good an outcome as is possible.

    Good afternoon noon, everyone.

    Much drama around the company today, too much to type right now.

    We're still playing this game?

    @Marty65 -

    Glad to hear that the antibiotics are working quickly. I know that you'll be fine for your road trip/vacation.

    Just got back from the doctor have another referral to look some things over. But the main thing that was going on the other day was probably diverticulitis and some infection that was causing the symptoms. The doctor is referring me to Charlotte gastroenterology to look at some other things. She tickled me when she asked if I would mind driving to balentine she said we don’t go here.

    Today was a beach day. The first since last October. Breeze coming off the water was chilly but the sun was warm.
    IMG_4206.jpg

    We went for a walk along the beach and MermAndy got all choked up when he (she?) saw this
    IMG_4210.jpg
    Reminded him of home.

    When it was time to go, look who wanted to be the chauffeur! He couldn’t produce a license.

    Who would have thought a pillow would be keeping me occupied and sane… I am sane, right?

    I tried to get the preferred pronouns out of him but he/she keeps going in circles.

    Well, it’s official. My wife put in her retirement paperwork. She’s a paraprofessional and her contract ends at the end of the month. The town wants to do away with retirement medical benefits so she’s retiring while she still can claim them on this contract. She might go back part time; they allow that. She really was worked up over it as she likes what she does and the people she works with. It’s a reluctant retirement.

    She’s not happy about it and is very upset that she might lose her friendships with her coworkers. She travels with them and everything. I tried to tell her she can always go out to dinner with them at least once a month to stay in contact.
