I don't know who said 98%, but while that's probably not true.... cops need to "police" their image. Its ridiculous that in this state that someone can deliberately pull out in front of me, I jacknife my trailer and cop doesn't give a shit. First incident immediately when I moved here.

On my base there are big signs that says NO cell phones unless hands free....Yet I still see every damn state cop that uses our base as a shortcut on the damn cell phones.

Needless to say, in this state you have to be doing 100mph plus or actively shooting someone before a cop will do shit.

I am a proud Coastie and I will tell you that ANYTIME we are out, IMAGE is everything. You want to look the best, and you want to bring no discredit to the service...because when the shit hits the fan, it won't be my name on the front page, it will be the Coast Guard. The same holds true for cops, if one of you fucks up, its not your name, its "police officer". So while the 98% might be a huge over generalization, Its beginning to seem more and more true, especially here. Thank god I'm leaving this place in a month.

I respect the law, always have. I do not respect people who think they are above the law. Pinal, I know you see at least one of these people at your work. He's the one that's ruining the image of your department....so if you consider all this? What do you expect?
