There are much worse things in MN than the Canadian smoke to worry about.

I remember that. Those idiot kids were throwing firecrackers off the side of the trail near Columbia River Gorge right?

“The fire was started on September 2, 2017, by a 15-year-old boy igniting fireworks during a burn ban. The fire burned 50,000 acres, and burned for three months, before being declared completely contained. As late as May 29, 2018, it was still found smoldering in some areas.”

No, the one I am talking about was late summer either 2020 or 2021 and there were huge active fires in BC Canada, Washington, Oregon and Idaho. SO much smoke in the air for a few weeks.

Poor fellow Canucks getting hammered early in the season in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and parts of Alberta with wildfires. Here in BC it’s only a matter of time before it gets underway. Been relatively quiet so far thanks to a cool damp spring.

We were trapped temporarily by a wildfire in 2015. No fun. It was emotional to say the least. I made a YT video about it for therapy.

I actually met the blues artist, Wes Mackey featured in my Video a few years prior in a little town nearby.

The smells where pretty bad up here Yesterday and I think it is related to Northern Ontario fires. I had to go back in the house cause I had problems breathing with my bad lungs. A lot of these wild forest fires they call them is because of poor Government forest mismanagement with cuts to programs that allows for forest people to clean up old down trees that are prone to fires.

My ss3 fogs are laying for themselves with all this smoke.

Jokes aside it's actually becoming a biiggggg problem up here. Smoke is bad enough that several of my partner's patients (in home nurse) are having severe breathing issues.

The smoke is quite noticeable in the valleys of Grey County. Seems to get trapped between the hills and just sits there.

Are you guys in the worst of it, filtering your indoor air?

During a bad year we bought 4 Hepa filters.

We taped two in windows to pressurize the house and placed the other two in the living room.

    Worked great.

Interesting, these Winix filters are also fart detectors.

The display light turns from green to red when it detects fart gas. It’s very sensitive. A small fart from across the room sets it off. Light stays red for about 5 minutes.

Amaze your friends for hours while stuck in the house.
