You hand the box to someone and they're kinda grossed out by the grease on the box. When you ask, they say how light and fluffy they were--nothing about the box :)

Back in my paper route days I had my papers dropped off in front Stan’s - about 50 years ago now. My adult daughter and I still meet up and have a few hot glazed doughnuts on the tailgate of my Toyota, just like we did when she was 4 years old. Fond memories.

Such a beautiful area Sonora and the 108 corridor. Just visited friends outside of Tuttletown and off Rawhide Rd. My first time up there 30 years ago I met Vida Blue coming out of the store in Twain Harte

I guess it’s all relative. Some people move away and never return, some return and some never leave. The unfortunate reality these days is home insurance and the difficulty or inability to have a policy aside from the state sponsored option. Having spend more than a decade in or on the STF working, I saw an incredible amount of Yosemite and the Stanislaus. A cherished kaleidoscope of memories

Well tell her she’s wrong! :boink:

Born and raised but recently moved because the schools apparently blow (according to my wife who taught in the school district…). Still have family in the area. I think it’s pretty ok.

I pretty sure there are plenty of people who can’t stand where they were raised for more reasons than geography. I had a good experience but totally get why some would not. Hoping my new digs are ok for my three boys :fingerscrossed:

Anyone in the bay area that wears mens 8.5 want these Keen safety toe boots? Other that taking them out the box to see if they fit, they are new.

work gave them to me for free but i like my JK boots better so i have no need for them

Me and a friend went scouting a couple of trailheads for backpacking into Emigrant Wilderness. The wildflowers are still singing, so manly men that we are, we picked a bouquet for the wife. She loved it.

We were scouting Waterhouse Lake and Coyote Meadow trailheads. We tried a fwd route directly from Waterhouse lake TH to Coyote Meadow TH that shows on Gaia GPS. Got about a third of the way, and after a few interesting moves faced a rutted and loose uphill with a tough looking (to me) exit at top. Past that the trail didn't look like it eased up. Where I stopped was still reversible, so I reversed it back to Herring creek loop and up to CM TH. Any one been on that trail? I'd be interesting to know what I chickened out of.

    NO.
    NO.
    NO.
    You do not pick wildflowers.

Look up Wilderness. It is not a shopping mall.

Please do not visit again until you do.

    Take only pictures.

    Leave no trace.
