Somewhere around the KY trip, I asked myself: Self, are you ever going to return this truck to stock? After contemplating for about 3 seconds, I replied: Not in this lifetime.

I'm gonna make one of those quadflate deals and use it for all of my breathers at once

No story. I was on the freeway on the way to my mom's and it felt like I ran over something. Felt a vibration and decided to pull onto the shoulder and that's what I found.

 

The new floor pads didn't quite mesh with the used. Same pattern, millimeters of difference in spacing.

So I bought more new ones and went full on chessboard.

 

.......on my feet, knees and back.

 

Now I'll have to paint the floor so that won't bug me....in the past I would've measured out a grid of 24"×24" squares and completed the checker pattern with black and grey paint.

See how it starts.....I just wanted a small padded floor mat for in front of my workbench.

 

Nice you found some gray trim. I don't know what brand I grabbed from O'Reilly's but it held on through the wilderness, minus the ones on the fender liner.....
( I hid some zip ties around the bends in the liner. Not going anywhere now.)

With your expedited ordering of parts should I be expecting a 2nd gen pulling into the driveway?

 

I'm not sure how to patch a separated sidewall.
