Looking for affordable but proper lift suggestions to get 33’s on my 23 trd sport. Dirt road is about as serious as the off roading will be so don't need anything serious. Also hate the floaty feel of stock set up.

Bilstein 5100's with either an add a leaft in the rear or a small block is a good mix of budget friendly while still being quality, especially for your intended use. Keep in mind if you want 33's or 285's, there is almost a 100% guarantee you will need a cab mount chop which will add to the cost. a 265 will be more than good enough if you wont be offroading much. new wheels or using the stock ones will also be a factor in your suspension setup

Not true at all, if the wheel has the correct offset. I run 285s on a +4 offset wheel and nowhere even close to needing a cab chop.

2" Bilstein 5100 for the Win! It'll eliminate the oem brake dive.

Really for your very mild off road use you could simply go up a tad to 32s (265/75R16) or if you have 17" wheels (265/70R17). Throw on some 5100 for a better ride and forget the lift. before I lifted my 2022 TRD Off Road all I did was put on 265/75R16 (rock sliders and steel engine skid plate) no lift - completely stock suspension and started wheeling easy and moderate trails way more than what you plan to do and it was fine and no rubbing

265/75R16 on stock wheels and stock suspension no lift

Off set is key though 0 to +10 with 0 I think being the sweet spot IMHO. definitely for your use 5100 with AAL. But why the 33s ? Some folks run 33s with out a Cab Mount Chop (CMC) and get no rubbing for others that does not work. I think it depends on a couple of factors - definitely your wheel off set, how hard you wheel off road and maybe I guess just how often and hard you go lock to lock. I run 33s +10 offset (285/75R16) with a 2" lift. I wheel pretty hard sometimes so I didn't want to deal with rubbing at all ever so did a a CMC and viper cut which to some was over kill - I guess I have to agree but it works for me.

285/75R16 +10 off set 2" lift 5100 and RXT leaf pack - CBC and viper cut - over kill? probably
