Our Rav4 is about 12 gallons, and the wife always fills up at half a tank..nuff said.

I’m happy FB Marketplace is busy and gets a ton of traffic but damn is it difficult to coordinate with some people. I’ve had some good easy sales recently but trying to buy has been a huge pain!

I visited a friend from college and his wife today and they let me take a spin in their new cars. The S-Cargo is for her business and it's absolutely hilarious to ride in / drive. It's a bit terrifying as a passenger because it feels like you're sitting on a plastic lawn chair and there's exactly nothing between you and the Super Duty, but I want one. The Z hides speed entirely too well, I could certainly get used to one.

It's always surprised me how annoying people can be even when we're trying to give something away. They act all excited then disappear. Or, they never want to commit to a time to get it.

That's the baffling thing. I WANT THIS, I NEED THIS, I WILL NEVER SPEAK WITH YOU AGAIN.

The rating system is the worst. Since I care too much about having a good rating I will bite my tongue all the time and let things slide I shouldn't, unless it's an initial message, like the (insert expletive here) Thursday night that offered me "$50 cash" on $140. I said no thank you and he upped it to a whopping $70. The rare times I've gone low on something I've sent a polite message about it explaining why my offer is low, offering to bend over backwards to work around their schedule, etc.

FB Marketplace can be somewhat uplifting though. Whenever I have a bad day at work, something goes sideways, I feel dumb, etc., I engage with someone trying to buy my $20 item and I question if they have to remind themselves to breathe.

Im looking to buy a commuter car from a woman in the Boston area. I have cash in hand, no negotiation, if it’s the condition you say and runs/drives I’ll take it. For WEEKS we’ve been chasing schedules and trying to get a time organized. I’ve got a 4-5 hour round trip for this so I need a little heads up but it’s always last minute notices of change, no reply leading up to a potential time to meet, etc. Just seems crazy to me that you have somebody willing to buy and can’t make it work.

The price did drop 1500 bucks while we’ve been trying to meet and get this sale done so I’ll take that as a plus haha.

Outside of cost and potential for drain plug / filter adapter damage, I don't see a downside.

If you really wanted to stretch it, sample and UOA it and see what the numbers say.

The stuff is super thin to begin with. I don’t feel that good about going that long between changes. I just did mine at 4,500

Which edition of the Z? I always wanted an early 300, owned a 280 as a teenager and loved that car but it turned out to be more of a rotpile than my Tacoma frame was..

Must be nice to have that kind of free time, wish I did..

I was lucky buying a bike in CT, but the seller was pretty good with communication. We agreed on Friday night and I asked for him to touch base with me Friday around noon to make sure he still had it and wasn't taking any other visits before I made the drive, which he sent me his phone number and we texted quick. Friday rolls around and he tells me he still has it, so we firm up a time and I get there with full asking in my hands. I'd already told him unless something crazy is wrong that the pics don't show I'll hand him all the money right then. He walked me into his house and told his wife "this is the guy who drove from MA", first thing she said is "well you know he's serious so that's good".

Totally hate that, I follow a car dealer who refuses to use that platform any longer because of the rating system and how people blast him for no good reason.
