    A few things

Sold the bed cap- it was starting to fall apart. Reinstalled my bakflip g3 tonneau cover.

Truck is now at 168,500km, or a touch over 100k miles. I just did the front wheel bearings, they were starting to make noise, this is probably due to the high volume of wheeling trips I've been on in the wet. Not upset by it.

Also just had the starter start acting up, so that was done as well. I had previously sunk the truck in a mud puddle and submerged it, so this isn't the trucks fault, most likely. Also did a CV axle- once again my fault, got the front end bound up in heavy snow towing a trailer in 4 low :bananadead:

Outside of that it's done well- no real complaints on hand.

I just ordered Icon RXT Leaf packs and have eibach front lift springs sitting ready to go in the truck as a upgrade from my stock front springs and my slightly tired AAL + Stock leaf springs - the overload that are in there right now. I'm going to run the icons in config 2, may need to jump to 3 if I start towing my travel trailer more. Future plans include finishing my front bumper and longer travel rear shocks w/ extended brake lines to get the full length out of my rear pack, as my b8 5100s will limit me on travel, so I'm looking at jumping to b110s or a fox 2.0.

I have the RXT leafs. Currently on setting 2, going to change mine to setting 3. But my truck is pretty heavy with my camping loadout.

I also towed a 5500lb trailer with a DCLB on option 1, the leaf springs were not the reason the truck drove poor.

So if you had any doubts I think option 2 is probably what you would want.

My trailer is 3200~ at normal load, 3350 with water on board. I think I'm at 330ish tongue weight (w/WDH). Currently with the AAL it isn't too bad, just a little soft. I think option 2 will do me fine since my only added weight is a steel factory style bumper and tonneau cover. Can always go up, I suppose.

Just installed the Eibach 2 inch front springs :)
20250531_113242.jpg 20250531_113234.jpg (PN E30-82-069-02-20) onto my 5100s :)cheers: @Norilsk) and deleted the front swaybar. Drives SO much better, front feels more controlled, body roll doesn't feel too bad, and so much smoother on rough terrain. My Icon RXT rear leaf packs came in today and I spent a little while configuring them into option 2. Waiting on ubolts to install them

    To do now:
    • Install leaf packs
    • ECGS Bushing- starting to notice a front end vibe and some noise, as well as play in the front drivers CV near the diff
    • Driver side diff seal- leaking, so I'll do it whenever I do ECGS
    • Finish my bumper (eventually)
Additionally the coopers are getting pretty worn and noisy. They're cupped pretty badly, my fault for lack of rotations (was doing every 12k, now every 6k) but I also feel like they cupped pretty easily compared to other tires I've had. Probably gonna try the wildpeaks next.

WELP, jinxed that, diff seal fully went and puked fluid all over.

As you may be able to tell, replacing it became quite the project. Nut that's tack welded in the frame broke off when trying to remove RCI front skid plate. Bolts are hard as fuck to cut through with a sawzall. Welded in a new nutsert into the frame for now, bolt is smaller than optimal but it'll work for a while. Going to pull all the skids at some point and clean them up as well as clean the underside well.

Anyways, got the seal replaced, and rebooted the drivers side CV axle while it was out (@Norilsk once again saved my ass )

Did that last night/this morning, and then tonight I installed Icon RXT leaf packs in stage 2 configuration. Rides amazingly, gained about 1.25 inches over Icon AAL + stock pack. Should tow better too.

(Thank you @tacoma16 for getting ubolts made for me!)

Truck drives great, needs a alignment though. Front end is a little bit noisy, I think it's ecgs + cupped front tires. I'll know for sure when the snows go on come winter. For now, gotta just chill and drive it, can't be dropping 3 grand on this thing every month...

Hurray for 170k km (105k ish miles) though!

It's not too bad. Picture is with the truck off camber, having just put in the springs so hasn't settled. It's about a inch higher in the rear now.

Does the leaf pack also require new (longer) shocks in the rear ?

Require? No. But the shocks do become your limiting factor in his much droop you have. You can go to a longer shock to gain that droop back, but then you need to build a bumpstop extension to stop from bottoming the extended shocks out, and extend the rear brake lines (I already have the bumpstop extension, planning on extending the rear brake lines at a later date).
