I watched it for the first time in our Jr High School's Auditorium back in 1982...twas a 9th grader back then! lol

Lunch was only 35 minutes so they showed two halves of the movie in consecutive days.

I loved it when Jimmy Page turned to look at the camera and his eyes were beaming with light.

Also enjoyed seeing Robert Plant's family strolling through the green valley by the river.

No matter how advanced car audio gets, there’s two sounds that I will always love. The dull vibration of the baseline (like in Heartbreaker and others) and the scratchy static sound of dropping a needle on vinyl.

My truck sounds amazing except that it doesn't and I'll tell you what I did, except that I won't.

There's just no way people are gonna trust you without a signature like this, and you start saving souls along with all those other miracles that don't exist...

OP pulled out his OEM system...installed a 20" OLED touch display running apple m6 cpu, rtx 5090, with combined android/apple car play. Everything is integrated into the steering wheel.

OP has the best sounding 3rd gen.

He reminds of this dude that i worked with years ago. He would refer to his job as mixing "crispy sizzling beats".
His solution to eliminating feedback from a vocal mic was to push the stage further back behind the P.A (small room) rather than hear the freq and attenuate it in the EQ.
Dude was a fuckin wack job.

    nope.

he asked about a peak at 41hz in his setup, i asked for the specifics of the gear he's using. he replied that he's a wandering audio nomad.

    whatever that is.

and for the record, i'm probably the only one on this entire forum that ever ran a car computer in any vehicle.

the final setup was a pentium dual-core processor with 4gb ram, on a zotac 9300 nvidia mini-itx board, outputting to an 8 channel sound card. the expensive parts were then-$300 120gb ssd, and a custom $500 transflective(used both a backlight, or the sunlight) optically-bonded capacitive-touch 7" monitor...

and all of it was done just so i could perform the same audio settings as my current $150 dayton dsp408...

Never had a PC build in my cars, but sure do miss the days of a 'flip out/flip up' dvd player head unit. I watched many fast & furious dvds in my riced out ford focus hatchback lol. Oh, the good ole days - when we didn't tune cars out of spite, but tuned for FAMILY :turtleride:

In my humble opinion, Physical Graffiti is a better album than IV

There are almost double the amount of songs with quite the variety of sounds in Physical Graffiti.

My faves are: In The Light & Ten Years Gone

I'm throwing Houses of the Holy in this for good measure.

Just watched Becoming Led Zeppelin on Netflix, great documentary. It's amazing how fast they became successful.

I like LZIV over PG, but to be fair, I recall reading that the band felt Kashmir was their most defining song, so if that’s the case, a true fan would choose PG.

I just realized that today is a notable day in audio history. Not car audio, but notable nonetheless.

    1979 - The Sony Walkman
Sony introduced the Walkman, the first portable audio cassette player. Over the next 30 years they sold over 385 million Walkmans in cassette, CD, mini-disc and digital file versions, and were the market leaders until the arrival of Apple's iPod and other new digital devices.

    I haven’t seen that documentary.

Wife cancelled Netflix since price kept on increasing.

Each album presents itself differently to me as I’m sure it does to all fans.

Depending on my mood, I have enjoyed Led Zep III simply because of their recording location.

Wife and I went to Wales for our honeymoon in 1990. I loved the countryside views and serenity of the quiet villages.

I can put myself in those settings as I enjoy each track.

I suppose I can transfer myself to different parts of my life with each album all the way up to: In Through The Outdoor.

So, I could pick a favorite but instead—I can enjoy them all one at a time, at my leisure.
