I don’t even know what the glitter could be from. I put a koyorad in less than 1k miles ago and a AISIN water pump 17k miles ago. I’m pretty sure I rinsed out the new radiator from debris before putting it in. Truck ain’t overheating, running funny, or leaking from anywhere else

 

Waterpump or just a poorly flushed rad after manufacturing. I doubt it's something worth much concern.

 

These words, they soothe me. Hopefully I can warranty the radiator. I was pretty stoked on it till it started leaking

 

can always tee a coolant filter into the heater hose to ease your mind about the crud but i wouldnt worry

 

I've been getting an intermittent buzzing/vibrating noise that sounds like it's coming from the guage cluster at higher speeds, anyone know what this could be? My initial thought was the odometer but I didn't think it would be cable driven on an 03. Anyone experience this in the past? It's pretty annoying and could even be louder than my half worn out ST Maxxes (which have really started getting louder recently)

 

I get the same shit. Has the dash been torn apart recently? I have a few broken plastic clips/fittings that’s got things rattling around.

 

I'm not sure if dusting off my scripting knowledge to automate my work is considered lazy or studious.

 

I tore it apart when I bought the truck. The nuts behind the fuel guage had almost rattled completely off and caused the electrical connection to fail but the last time I was in there was a few years ago now. For the regular dash rattle noises I stuffed some left over 8mm silicone vacuum lines between the dash and windshield and that was a major improvement in the noise department for sure

 

As one of my country music enthusiast friends put it. I liked his music more when he was a depressed alcoholic. But it's good he's doing better now.

 

Do you have a j-shift or push button 4x4 lever?

Accidentally pushing the 4wd button at speeds above 55, I think that is the upper limit where engagement can occur, the system will emit what could be described as a buzzing/vibration and it seems to come from up/under/behind the dash.

 

Hmmmm. My 99 has a similar noise but I don't care as much about the truck to investigate. The speedometer cable ended around 1998 with the introduction of the digital odometer I think?
