I've never seen a Menard's. We have Lowe's (3 of them in any direction 30 minutes away, pick one), TSC (15 minutes away), Rural King (30 minutes away), and Patrick Building Supply (15 minutes away) which is like a mini Lowe's.

Ah no, that's not how it works. I was looking for 63, I think, and ran into the same problem. I found a team member who took me to the other side of the store to a half aisle. When I asked him WTF he just shrugged and was like IDK. I think I do though. I had a grocery store by me that every 3-4 years would change the whole store around. The last thing they wanted was people knowing exactly where the items they were looking for where. They wanted you wondering around the store look for stuff, preferable while hungry LOL.

Wal-Mart does this, they reset their stores so you can't find anything and have to walk all over :smash:

What a team member he was lol
Our local Lowe’s does the same thing moving crap around and even asking a “team member” where something is they gotta bust out the little pocket protector scan dooflinkey and wander around the store with you wasting time. I know the feeling. I’m was just teasin bruh

I didn't take it any other way, but even if I did I'm not going to let something posted on the internet bother me. But I get it, it's a shame how much people have let the internet affect their Mental Health. Hell any time I'm kind of feeling down on myself I simply go to Reddit and within 5 minutes I realize I'm actually a pretty decent, fairly intelligent, well adjusted person, LOL.

The one over the 4th gen? I posted that so well-meaning just observing a mud covered 4th gen being used how it should and people's heads exploded. There was one guy I had made an offhanded comment too in another thread a couple weeks earlier that really came at me, and pretty well started the whole thing because he was still butt hurt. And offhanded comment made two weeks earlier and this guy still raging. I'm sorry boys but I don't think Society has much longer in it.

This is pretty well the only thread I post off-handed stuff in anymore because I find you guys to be a fairly level-headed group of people.

Here & in the shop we don't do that drama stuff.
I think a lot of it is that we mostly have "regulars" here and don't attract the attention of the mainstream thread browsers.

Okay there was that one also. Which I felt was just as innocent. Wasn't trying to make fun of any handicapped people or anything like that. It was just the absurdity, on the surface, of that vehicle sitting in the handicap spot. And then you got people coming on there and making comments like "you better think long and hard about what else you say". Like they're going to find out who I am and show up at my house. When I have a disagreement with someone online I always try to keep in mind that if we were to meet in person there's a better chance than not we'd get along perfectly fine. Also, I don't know this person. For all I know he gets done replying to me, walks into his daughter's room, and commits unspeakable acts. Why would I let someone like that send me off the deep end. I've been thinking about this, and since the first day I got on the internet, a little bit before Y2K I believe, I can never remember being upset about anything that was said to me in an online forum. I just really couldn't care less.

    To follow up...
There is no "adjustment" on the L3901 PTO Safety Switch by loosening that mounting screw. The screw and a 'tit' hold the switch in a predetermined spot. The only adjustment is by bending that delicate tab... the one that the guy in the video broke off. I managed to remove the switch and carefully bend just the tail end of the tab, 3 remove/install attempts before getting it right. It works perfectly now.

So, I have a bunch of places near me, but I like my Lowes for one reason only.....the service from the people who seem to know where everything is and they are consistently the same people....like legit...I know at least 4 of them by name!

ps. I honestly appreciate that they have a veterans parking space and veterans discount for me.....funny thing to me though is that I caught someone asking a woman if she was a veteran when she parked there.....I was like WTF do you mean!!! I served with some of the best Marines in the world and they happened to be women. Service is not gender specific. That dude went quietly away quickly and she thanked me with....."I thought I was going to have to tell that Mother F'er off....." (that's how you confirm a service member...that aggressive cursing. lol).

I bought a place with some cracks in the garage foundation. Looked up how to deal with them and they said foam insulation to fill the gaps before using a sealer. So I went to Menards and bought this.
    It said this.

It said minimal expansion on the can right?
I'll make it work. I'll trim it all back. Just an extra step I wasn't expecting.

Years ago I worked with a guy we called "the big dummy" because he was:
    A) big
    B) dumb
    ;)

One of his signature lines (in a raised voice) "I know it's true, I read it on the internet!"

He was absolutely serious by the way. o_O

There is an optimum time for trimming polyurethane foam.
Just after it all converts from liquid, but before it "set's up".

Too early, and it's still sticky and messy. Too late and it's tough and tears roughly when cutting with a sharp blade.

A bare hacksaw blade works best on fully cured trimming. go slowly, sawing, not cutting like a knife.

I was thinking about this on my way in this morning. Can you imagine going to the parts store and saying "I need a belt and idler pulley for a 6' X 12' trailer, 2008 model
